Not sure why it has so many bad reviews
I’ve been using this app for about three months and I still haven’t found any problems with it. It syncs well with Apple Health, it accurately loads/unload the weights when I want, and it hasn’t crashed on me. Obviously if you’re using the Voltra you need the app, so maybe some people just have buyers remorse but I absolutely love the Voltra and the app

Perfect product, questionable app
If you’re providing a remote control paired app for things that can provide 400 lbs of resistance, the app shouldn’t ever lose connection.
This is an awesome product but I don’t think the paired app of the function is reliable to be safe in any way.

Does not let you add a custom workout
Im unable to use the app features because it does not let me add exercises
App sucks
There is no excuse for how bad the app is. It should have way more features like automatic progressive overload and basic coaching. They should develop an SDK so that anyone can vibe code their own coaching app. Right now it’s simply too basic and there is no excuse given how easy it is to code now.

Seems to have improved
The app seems to have been improved since the earlier reviews. I don’t have any issues so far I would like to be able to do isokinetic modes and strength training as well. I love that it logs all of the statistics automatically Using the Volta.

Wasted potential
The app is sorely lacking functionality. Consecutive drop sets are a real pain to program and variable resistance is not supported in drop sets. Also this app does not directly support Siri commands which would be helpful for unloading.
Great physical device but app is lacking
The physical device is great but the phone app is lacking. UX needs to be updated. Workouts randomly end themselves and there is no way to jump back to where you were at and you can't update weights/reps/etc in the middle of a workout. Twin mode doesn't work in a workout and the physical device will sometimes become out of sync with each other.

Whole package
The VOLTRA package is really polished. Hardware is over engineered for safety and software is constantly getting new features and upgrades. Couldn’t be happier.
