Whoever made this app knew what they were doing. I am beyond impressed with the quality and content. I’ll be curious to see how it progresses as it dives deeper into grammar and sentence structure, but I love everything about this app. I’d rate it as even more effective and useful than Duolingo. I feel like I’ve learned more with this Greek than the Duolingo version.

Like it, somewhat confusing interface
I just started using Biblingo and I love the layout, the concept, etc. But I’ve been having some issues with the lessons themselves. Specifically with the voice recording option. When you record and then turn it off, you’re unsure if you passed the question or not and then sometimes it will seem to accept it and move onto the next and other times, I’ve done the recording three times and it won’t let me move on. And other times it turns green like I did pass it but won’t move on and the arrow does appear to go to the next question but then when I hit it it says I didn’t complete the question and I have to go back to the home screen and back into the lesson again. It would be nice to have a clear submit button if some kind when you’ve finished the question and then if it says it’s wrong either an option to redo it or move on and study it later…I don’t know. But as of right now it’s just very confusing.
All that being said, once again, great app, easy to understand the lessons as far as what they’re teaching, love the concept and love that learning to read the Bible how it was written is something accessible for anyone.

Hope the developer can continue improving the app
It is a helpful app. But for a paid subscription, there are multiple issues. The app kept logout automatically. The text on the learning module for textbook was too small.

Seems like this is a kindergarten version and an annoyance of an
app to learning Greek. I’m sorry to say but this is a poorly planned app. Why is it that you do not allow user to go forward in learning letters, words or phrases? People have vast different rates of learning concepts, symbols etc. That is something that should have been in mind in mapping out the app. I found it to be quite annoying to have the app repeating the same letter, word or phrase. The app also failed to mention add Greek keyboard in order to type out those letters, words and phrases. Annoying to see red after typing out whatever until it dawned on me to add keyboard. Update the app adding forward arrows even before answering and notice to add keyboard. Have people try out the app and get feedback. Do better if you want people to pay for it.

Impressive app
Very impressive, especially the feature which sorts chapters by the frequency of words learned. Great for practice.
Say no to accounts
Deleted immediately after being prompted for name and email to use a 10 day trial.

A poor experience lately
For the past few days the application is constantly timing out and failing with a DNS error. This is unpleasant, to say the least, and if it doesn’t improve soon I’ll be asking for a refund.
Not impressed
I started the Biblical Hebrew trial to compliment a course I was taking but the pronunciation on this app put me off. The woman pronounces the ‘b’ as a ‘v’. The help support said they have had this comment before and fixed it but I cannot use it whilst it sounds always like a ‘v’ - it still sounds like a ‘b’

This app is truly amazing in what it does and how it does it. It is obviously how much time and effort went in to making it . This is probably the most convenient and enjoying way to learn biblical languages ever done and very thorough as well .

Very promising and beautiful App, but…
Very promising and beautiful App, but starting the trial, which doesn’t allow me to skip ahead to my level, I am forced to go through the basics, and I am noticing it is teaching wrong information. Such as subject comes before the verb, and object comes after the verb, which is not necessarily correct for Greek and often not typical. It wouldn’t be so bad if they clarified that, but they straight up say that’s how it is done and even compare it to English. There is also a weird focus that “I hit” is ἐγὼ τύπτω, instead of teaching that this is an emphatic expression and that I hit is normally just τύπτω without need of ἐγώ, and if you put τύπτω for “I hit”, it will be counted wrong. If it teaches the basics wrong, I’m not going to pay to go farther and get to my level and see how the advanced stuff is.

Je recommende chaudement cette application pour ceux qui comprennent l’anglais, mais pas pour ceux qui comprennent seulement le français. Il y a trop d’endroits où le texte ou le mot est en anglais. Aussi, c’est évident qu’ils n’ont pas engagé une personne francophone pour traduire les mots. Il y a parfois des erreurs dans la traduction du grec au français quand ils nous apprennent des nouveaux mots. Par exemple: σχίσμα. La traduction donnée est: larme. Tandis que le domaine sémantique donné est: déchirer. Une personne francophone sait que ces deux mots n’ont pas dutout la même signification. La traduction devrait peut-être être: déchirure? Je ne sais pas. En ligne, j’ai vu que ça serait mieux traduis: division.

This app is truly amazing in what it does and how it does it. It is obviously how much time and effort went in to making it . This is probably the most convenient and enjoying way to learn biblical languages ever done and very thorough as well . My one small suggestion is to give the user more control on the review settings regarding how often vocab is reviewed . I have forgotten quite a bit of vocab just because words never make it to review decks anymore . As a result I had to make my own Flashcards and import them into the Flashcards Deluxe program and have it so that no word goes more than a week without being reviewed again even if I know it. Would be nice to have similar control in this app because I would much rather never leave the app.

Lots of Potential with some Slowdowns
I really want to like this app, but the 2-4 second lag between flashcards on an iPhone 16 Pro Max slows down how fast I could be reviewing what I already know dramatically. Not sure if this is a memory optimization issue or an intentional buffer, but it would be great if it could be instant/more snappy without always playing the audio if I don’t want it to. I get the value of the audio during the learning phase, but not as much for review.
I also don’t see a way to start or progress to my current learning level, which means I have to laboriously go through the alphabet and other basics. Some kind of initial establishing review quiz might be helpful here where you can go through all the major vocab to mark it off or not.

Every single screen loads for a long time
The app seems great so far in terms of its content, but every time I go to a new screen (or even just the next flashcard), I am given a loading screen for several seconds. My internet connection is strong, so I am not sure why that is happening.
