Dev moved previously paid for features behind a paywall.

This app was great. I paid $5 for it, but then the dev put several basic features from the $5 paid version behind a paywall: control your music, volume lower, and start any command/shortcut with any button. Why are these behind a $29/year paywall now?! Just sell software once and don’t roll features behind an additional paywall after you already sold them with the initial app fee. Jeez. I would have loved to give this app 5 stars otherwise. This is bait and switch stuff.

It might just be me but..

Four hours of trying to get my setup to work and using BikeControl as a bridge but to no effect. Issues with controllers not staying connected and muddy control when they were. This app might work for some but was a complete waste for me.

Response from developer

Happy to help.

bridges the gaps

really nice to use my hardware outside the walled cartoon garden of zwift

Winner for Zwift Ride Owners!

I love my Zwift Ride but after a year or so I really wanted to migrate over to TPV but I wasn’t a fan of shifting from their app. Enter Bike Control! I’ve had the app for quite some time, patiently waiting for the TPV integration and now that it’s here I have been very happy with the results. The one hiccup I’ve had the developer was super responsive and quickly fixed it. Highly recommend!

Mid App

6 dollar to purchase the app to look at the interface; subscription fee to use virtual shifting( update:$6 button layout for laptop to make reaching more pleasing, free for sweaty touchscreen user, but optional $3 a month or $30 a year for Zwift click or Bluetooth media user.

Response from developer

Not true at all - if your trainer app already supports Virtual Shifting, then there's no extra cost and Pro is not required. Virtual Shifting through BikeControl is an optional feature.

Does not work properly

Too bad does not work properly paid for the apps then subscribe for the pro still doesn’t work

Response from developer

Happy to help via the In-App-Support.

Response from developer

No bluetooth option when setting up with ios

Doesn't work as advertised

Response from developer

Happy to help using the in app support. Bluetooth option does not exist when you select "Same device". iOS (and any device in general) cannot connect to "themselves" via Bluetooth.

Misleading Pricing

App requires an additional $3 / month payment to make key features work, ie, TrainingPeaks Virtual shifting with Zwift Play controllers.

Response from developer

Happy to help via the in app support.

Zwift Ride on MyWhoosh - follow up

With the latest update to BikeControl, the gear indicator on the MyWhoosh screen is now fixed.
Good feedback from the developer (Jonas) who tells me he is working with MyWhoosh to fix the other issues.

Achtung Abo

Schade.

Response from developer

Didn’t work on MyWhoosh, the MyWhooshLink App works better.

Paid £3.99 for this. My Kickr Core V2 Zwift Click controllers will connect to MyWhoosh when using this, the gear numbers on the screen go up and down, but the difference in the gears are minimal (or it might be the very slight changes in the terrain was creating an impression of change, and there was no resistance change caused by the gears) I was cycling on a (virtual) flat route, and trying to get the gears down low enough so I could cycle at 90rpm, with a low enough power to keep with the group…I couldn’t, even though I put it down to 1. When I used the MyWhooshLink App, without the BikeControl App, the gear changes were larger, and allowed for lower gears. It was also stated, before purchase that Id be able to try the Pro version for one month free, I can find no evidence of that in the app. So I appear to have paid for something that’s useless to me. It would be better if the Basic version were free, there was a free trial month on the pro, and there was a lot more information on the App Store on what you’re actually getting with the basic version. Preferably the basic and pro versions should be sold separately in the App Store. I used version 5.4.2. There was also no way of contacting the developer with questions from within the app. “Support” was a series of FAQs that didn’t address my problem. The screens shown in the App Store preview, are not in the Basic App. The screens in that are frankly quite cluttered, messy, and difficult to understand. They also don’t have the facility to alter the gears, as shown in the preview, that presumably is only available in the subscription Pro version. I have now found out, through reading the reviews elsewhere, that the developer has advised others not to bother using his app with the Zwift Click controllers…however, he is still saying in the App Store that this app will work with MyWhhoosh, and with the Click controllers. Can I have my money back please?

frustrating

the odd time it works, it works. trying to use it with mywoosh, and even when they "collabed" it's horrendous. using it with wahoo core. follow all instructions, says it's linked and connected, but virtual shifting doesn;'t work in app. i spent on avg 15 min trying to get it to connect. if i knew this i would have just sucked it up and paid for zwift. latest "update" tries to give you a virtual trainer, fix the original purpose before trying to move on.

Response from developer

so many support options, and App Store reviews are the worst to get help - if you want help, I'm happy to provide it. Based on your description I'm not sure what's going on.

Zwift click v2 only kinda supported

Great the the app is getting so many updates but until they can get Zwift Click v2 pairing to be sorted without unlocking in Zwift first, I don’t recommend it.

Response from developer

Tell it to Zwift to remove their firmware restriction!

Response from developer

Sucks, waste of money as it is.

This app blows, should be embarrassed!

Response from developer

Very constructive feedback! If you need help, request it :)

Great App and Support

I started using this app about in Nov 2025 to enable my Di2 shifters on Rouvy for virtual shifting (previously used the Swift Click v1). After I got it set up (with a little help from Jonas) it work like a charm. What a difference it made to my racing experience. No more awkward clicking on the Zwift Click. Since then the app has gone through many updates adding many features. The support is fantastic! I’m using a Mac and every now and then a Mac OS update will cause a hiccup and all I do is send an email and it’s fixed. Great response time. I was more then happy to upgraded to the pro subscription to support development. Love this app and support.

Great for ROUVY

Simple to set up and works great with ROUVY. Lets me control virtual shifting in ROUVY using di2 hood buttons or shifters if I change them to dfly.
