Have to buy premium

In order to see your events in the app you have to buy premium with monthly fee or use the website.

$8 a month. Not free.

After logging data for TWO WEEKS it all disappeared from my iPhone the DAY we had our Drs appointment! YES, at the Drs office my wife and I were scrambling in front of the Dr trying to remember every seizure and symptom our son had in the last TWO WEEKS!

After freaking out that all our data was GONE and emailing Birdhouse, they told me my FREE trial for premium was over and I could ONLY access my data from their website, using a tablet or desktop. I double checked the App Store and the Birdhouse website and nowhere was it mentioned I was in a "free trial period" for the premium app. In fact I got an email every day from Birdhouse (they have great communication) saying that I should try the premium app with discount code etc. I double checked, nowhere in those emails did it say I was currently using a trial service that would be discontinued. I could not find ANY price mentioned ANYWHERE on the WEB or in the AppStore, the price is ONLY mentioned in an email telling me it costs $8 A MONTH and a discount on the first month. This was AFTER they removed all my data from my iPhone right when I needed it most!

I did find the app easy to use BUT NOT worth $8 a month. There are plenty of truly FREE apps in the AppStore that let my wife and I log my sons seizure diary.

With that said, Birdhouse please post your prices openly. Do NOT hold your users data hostage when they need it the most. You could make a popup in the app with a warning, something I would notice telling me, "Hey from now on, we're going to hide your data on your iPhone from you unless you pay us!" Also, I would encourage you to reconsider your sales tactic of hiding those first TWO CRITICAL WEEKS of logging data. It's hard enough dealing with epilepsy.
