Ok

Too many false alarms

I see it’s always right when you have a seizure I say which is good, but it’s always wrong when it says you fell down, I get alarms from that just from moving my hand quickly and when I actually do fall, it doesn’t work just stays quiet it makes family worried give a lot of false alerts

Too sensitive

I’m sitting at table with my family. There’s no need to go off.

Five stars

This is the best app ever. I have epilepsy and it has caught every seizure I have had

Nice concept

It’s a nice concept, but not very effective. It registers falls and seizures that aren’t real when I’m at work and drop my hand too fast, or lose internet, but not when I actually fell to the floor convulsing in front of my son.

FAQ

What does EpiCentr do?

EpiCentr is designed to enhance safety for individuals with seizure disorders. It actively monitors for seizure-like triggers using wearable device sensors and can automatically alert designated emergency contacts. The app also provides a comprehensive journal to track seizures and detailed statistics reports for healthcare providers.

How does the seizure detection work?

The app utilizes sensors on your Apple Watch, such as the heart rate monitor, gyroscope, and accelerometer, to detect motion patterns associated with seizures, different types of falls, and abnormal heart rates. If a seizure-like pattern is detected, a delayed alert is initiated, which can be canceled manually.

Is EpiCentr free to use?

The app is available for download and offers core functionalities for free. However, it does include in-app purchases, suggesting that some advanced features or premium services may require payment.

What devices is EpiCentr compatible with?

The app is designed to work with Apple devices. Specifically, it leverages Apple HealthKit and utilizes the sensors on an Apple Watch for seizure detection. Manual alerts can also be initiated from an iPhone.

How can this app help me or my loved one?

This app provides peace of mind by offering automated seizure detection and immediate alerts to emergency contacts. The detailed journaling and statistics reports allow for better tracking of seizure events, triggers, and side effects, which can be invaluable for personal management and discussions with healthcare professionals.
