Too many false alarms

False alarm went off frequently notifying emergency contacts unnecessarily. These occurred when cooking, walking, and even when my Apple Watch was not on my wrist.

Payment issues

Adding to a previous review and removing some stars because the renewal process via Apple was really atrocious, initial payment rejected by either Apple or my carrier and now I’ve set up a new plan and not entirely sure if the app will work. Also, there are far to many plan options with little to no advice on the difference. Great app when it works but the payment issues and lack of information are off putting.

Doesn’t work

I had a 7.5 minute TC seizure with a a heart rate that exceeded 157 BPM. The watch and phone are new and set up for most sensitive. It caught nothing and alerted no one. My husband was home so HE caught it and intervened. Would not recommend. We checked all settings from phone to watch to the app itself. The 4.5 stars reviews are BS

So far the best Seizure Monitoring App for Apple

I’ve been using this app for a couple of years now after trying a few others and also the Empatica device. So far this is the best I’ve had. Yes it does pick up on false seizures from movement of your hand like washing hands or scrubbing dishes, or if you’re moving over rough terrain. However so long as you stop the alert fast enough, it’s all good! I don’t mind the odd one here or there. The fact that I can add an indefinite number of carers on and switch them off as needed is awesome! The app synced to my Apple Ultra 2 watch no problem. My only issue is that with the new update came the snooze monitor - what is it? You do t have any info on it in your tips or FAQs.

FAQ

What does SeizAlarm do?

SeizAlarm is an iPhone and Apple Watch app designed to detect irregular movements using device sensors. When detected, it automatically alerts your pre-selected emergency contacts via phone call, text message, and email, providing them with your GPS location if available.

How does the irregular movement detection work?

The app utilizes the motion sensors on your iPhone and/or the motion sensors or heart rate sensor on your Apple Watch to identify abnormal or irregular movements. You can customize the sensitivity settings to best suit your individual needs and reduce false alarms.

Is SeizAlarm a medical device?

No, SeizAlarm is not an FDA approved medical device. It is intended to provide an alert service and should not be used for diagnosis, treatment, or as a substitute for professional medical care.

What are the costs associated with SeizAlarm?

New accounts receive a 2-week free trial of the help request service. After the trial, a subscription is required to continue using the alert features. The subscription costs $17.99 per month or $179.99 per year and is auto-renewing.

Can I manually send a help request?

Yes, you can manually send immediate help requests to your emergency contacts. The app also features a time-delayed help request option, allowing you to set a custom delay before a request is sent, with a countdown that can be extended if needed.
