About
BitBob is a native iPhone app that allows users to easily and quickly request money from their friends. It simplifies the process of splitting bills and requesting payments by sending notifications through WhatsApp.
Here's how BitBob works:
Bob wants to split a $40 bill for a friend's birthday gift.
Using BitBob, Bob sends a payment request to Alice via WhatsApp.
Alice receives the request and opens the BitBob app.
Alice executes the transaction by sending an equivalent of $20 in XRP to Bob using a wallet like XUMM.
BitBob verifies the transaction on the XRP Ledger and updates Bob's status overview accordingly.
To ensure security, BitBob verifies friends' XRPL addresses through a test process.
Our goal is to create a user-friendly app for payment request messaging that reaches a wide audience, regardless of age.
It's important to note that BitBob is not a wallet but a connecting information layer. It supports utilizing decentralized market prices determination by gathering the latest decentralized revealed mean XRP/USD price from the Flare Network - Flare Time Series Oracle (FTSO).
App integrations requirements to fully utilize Bitbob: WhatApp (Messenger) & Xaman (XRPL wallet).
