Buggy App
Endless bagel circles when doing anything (ordering, verifying verification code, paying). Had to try three times to just put one order in.

Update broke account syncing. The PIN input to verify my phone number doesn’t accept inputs. Locked out, hungry.
Quality Bagels
Black Seed Bagels offers quality bagels, fresh ingredients, and great service at a reasonable price. I’ve yet to be disappointed, so I highly recommend!
WTF happened to this app???
Love BlackSeed Bagels, so delicious, but this new redesign of their app is pretty gross. I couldn’t log back in had to start new account and lost all my accrued points! Not mention it is very buggy and lagging terribly in my experience.
Update? - finally better
The review after this was my first review but they have finally made the re-order and added apple pay. The flow is so much better, well done. Sad I lost my rewards but I’ve already started building again. — prev review:

Updated app is terrible
Old username unavailable, offer history all lost. Only visa accepted? What a huge misstep. Good thing the bagels are good.
App terrible
The new app is terrible and actually unusable. Cannot check out as a guest and no longer accepts Apple Pay. We spent 10 minutes trying to order and then gave up.
New App is clunky and unintuitive
The new app they released is bad quality. They nuked the original account so you lost points/login and had to create a new one. No longer accepts Apple Pay. Numerous UI bugs, text overflow, tip resetting to 20% after you modify it. Also, there was no way to order a dozen bagels?? Only one by one. For the love of Christmas give the engineers unlimited Claude code and fix this garbage app.

Frustrating how a good business doesn't invest money in a better app. Trying to order anything in this app is a frustrating experience
Worst app ever
They made this completely unusable. The old janky app at least functioned. It won’t even let me log in, use apple pay, save a car. Absolutely trash. Wont be shopping at black seed anymore
Quality
Good bagels, good coffee. Little pricey, MYC. Granted, I don’t drink too much coffee, so I don’t know the good from the bad, but the iced coffee was quality. The Brick Lane is inconsistent. Sometimes the mistard is super strong. Sometimes there is less mustard.

It didn’t work with previous account.
New app is even worse
Didn’t fix any of the problems with the previous app, added more problems. Can’t access the rewards from the previous app. Need to try again

The new app does not give me option of Apple pay. Already a bad start. Bring back the previous app!!!!

When reading the news of your opening in WPB and being an original day one customer of Pop Up Bagels on Thompson St NYC, I was excited to visit your store on Fern St.
As I approached the store, there were 8 people standing outside. No designated line, no stanchions, to sign to mark the direction of the line.
I entered the store to be asked to leave immediately. “It’s not a retail store”. No sign on door! I approached the window not realizing other patrons were ahead of me, two gracious and equally confused gents.
When I finally got to the window, greeted by a lady sitting on the window/ counter I ordered 2 plain and 2 everything bagels. “Sorry we don’t sell bagels to go”. “We can only sell 2 bagels per person”. Ok, I’ll have 2 & 2. “No only 2 per person “. I’m ordering 2 for my wife in the car in front of the store.
“Sorry, that would be a separate order”.
I tendered a cash payment, “Sorry, credit only”.
As a restaurant owner for 42 years with over 40 F&B operations throughout the USA, PLEASE get your act together.
Whether I return or not, I want your concept to work. You’ve made this too complicated, too unorganized and you haven’t earned the pedigree to be so inhospitable.

3 stars because it works, -2 because it’s so inefficient
It takes 8 clicks on different windows to reorder an existing order with Apple Pay. This is unacceptable these days from a software design perspective. Should be max 2. Would be an easy fix and provide a lot of benefit to the customer.
Still No Apple Pay
Overpriced bagels to begin with, but not having Apple Pay is crazy at this point. Even the street food carts accept Apple Pay and Venmo.
