Future of Facial Mocap

I used this face Mocap app when it was it was first coming out and I was amazed by how simple the setup was after watching the video on YouTube. I’m downloading this app again for another project I want to use this for. Keep in mind that this isn’t meant to be Hollywood quality facial mocap but it has the potential to be. Don’t expect anything crazy, be logical about what you’re using it for and you’ll have a great time.

Amazing app!

This app has been a life saver for completing my animation capstone project! The face mocap is great and the retargeting process through Blender is easy to get the hang of after a few tries.

My only issue with this app is that if you record a take, then press preview recording, then try to record another, the second recording doesn’t actually capture any data — as long as you don’t go into the file viewer, preview, or settings in between takes though, it works just fine. If you do preview, just close the app before doing another take.

I would also love the ability to rename files so I could differentiate between lines, but other than that this app is amazing!

App does a poor job of tracking

The videos on YT looked promising but the app itself doesn’t work so well. All the references I laid down were wrong. They floated and didn’t stick to the perceived surface this app was calculating
