Great app! Easy touring!
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with the block.a app. My roommates and I have been scheduling tours, and we have often had to schedule several in one day due to our busy schedules. This app allowed us to tour these apartments on our own time and not worry about making an appointment. Additionally, we were able to spend as long as we wanted in the apartment taking measurements, discussing what we liked about it, and determining if it was the right fit for us.
The only downside is not being able to ask questions to a leasing agent while you’re in the apartment, but our agent was very helpful when we emailed them a list of questions after the fact.

Incredible, Refreshing Apartment Rental Experience
I’ve been living in NYC for a decade. Having dealt with a range of real estate folks across several different apartments, I can confidently say MAPT Residential are one of the most professional, diligent, trustworthy organizations you’ll find. This app was so easy to use, from submitting an application early, to a self-guided tour of my new place. There’s a lot of garbage out there. Do yourself a favor and use this instead!

Awful and weird experience
I did two tours for apartments through this app. One was scheduled with a tenant and the other was a self guided tour. Seemed like a really cool idea but both went very badly.
First apartment, the tenants who were supposed to show me the unit didn’t answer their door and I had no way to contact them directly or even know who they were. The number for the real estate agent went to voicemail and their customer service gave me a very vague apology with no solution, so I left even though I made the trip all the way there for a scheduled viewing.
To be honest with my feelings, the self guided tour was a little sketchy, as a single woman just entering a random apartment building at night. The instructions for getting into the building were very poorly written and it took me a long time to get inside and find which apartment it was. I don’t really like this experience because you can’t ask questions to a real estate agent as you’re touring it on your own. Landlords and agencies are getting really lazy these days using this app to fill their apartments. It was a massive waste of time so I don’t think I’ll be using this app again.

Helpful Apartment Hunting Tool
I’m writing this review as I was pretty nervous about downloading this and using it having read some of the past reviews but two apartments I found in NYC required it to tour. I eventually did it and although I didn’t love having to upload photos of my license everything else was fine. I booked and attended a viewing which all went well. And you can see other places available, book on tours, get notified when more tours become available, contact agents etc.

Helpful and Convenient App
The Block.a app is the reason that I found my current apartment after months of searching and bad luck. It made the apartment search super easy and convenient, mainly due to the self-touring feature that it offers. Block.a helps you to connect with listing agents immediately. I would recommend this app to anyone searching for apartments in New York!

Seamless Experience
I was anxious about relying on an app to work through the apartment viewing/application process - sometimes technology causes more problems than it solves. However, this was super easy to use. Very clear directions, easy to use interface and offered exactly what I needed and then some!
Best app on the market
I’m a licensed real estate agent in charge of doing itineraries for my team and this app has made my life easier from the logistics point of view. The easy access to the properties and the communication with the listing agents it’s flawless. I would really recommend if you want to have a pleasant experience with a client.

Easy Peasy!
I found my current apartment with blocka. So convenient for any working human, I work weekends and 7am-7pm so blocka was perfect for me because I can have access to go into any apartment on my own. Take pictures, FaceTime, and tour peacefully without someone hovering over me or watching me. I also don’t typically have time to tour when leasing agents or realtors are available, so this app was useful to me.
I had one incident where the door had no block and I called the customer service number and they were extremely helpful, quick responses, and offered other units in the same building as a resolution.

Quick and Easy
This app was wonderfully effective in helping me and my roommates find our new home. The app was easy to navigate, and being able to do things on our own timeline allowed us the ease of doing things when we could rather than trying to accommodate someone else’s schedule.

This app cuts out the middle man and is definitely useful and accessible for finding an apartment! Pretty easy to use and pretty explanatory in the app. I downloaded it and used it immediately. The instructions were easy to follow.
Best way to find an apartment
Using block made searching for an apartment in NYC the easies experience I’ve had in multiple searches across years. Being able to self tour places all using this app to enter made it so convenient. When I finally found the place for me I was able to come back again and really make sure. 10/10 would recommend using this over StreetEasy!!!

Best App !
I honestly loved the unit and the self touring experience of block.a ! This experience allowed me to personalize my tour and really take my time looking at the unit. When it’s an open house with multiple people you can’t really get a true feel of the apartment. I loved the space, the finishes, location of the unit and the exterior of the building. It has a lot of character and it was easy to apply. Definitely recommend

So much easier than dealing with NYC realtors
I stumbled upon block.a because it was requested by a realtor that I used it to book an apartment tour. I’d never heard of the app and when I downloaded it I realized it was actually a super user friendly app for searching for apartments as well. I booked the apartment tour so easily and when the realtor didn’t show up within the first 10 mins, I reached out to the contact shown on the app and a block and someone from block.a contacted me within 2 minutes via text trying to help (and on a Sunday!)

Amazing
I wish everyone used this app. I have missed out on countless apartments because I work a full-time job and cannot go in the middle of a work day to an open house. This is a total game changer in that it lets you go on your own time when it's convenient for YOU and YOUR schedule. I love it!
Straightforward APT shopping
I downloaded the app to view 2 apartments on the UWS over the summer. The directions were very clear and I had a good experience with the block.a support team as well. I think the whole contactless browsing idea is pretty novel and it worked out great for me.
Best apartment search app
I am out of state and have searched every site to find an apartment in NYC. As anyone renting in NYC knows, it is a nightmare but Bloc.a has made it such a great experience and the agents are top notch, well at least mine is.
