Fantastic App

Love that it tracks where your donations go, wish it kept more than the last 90 donations though. Trying to paint the map red!

Center in Paducah Kentucky

I rate this 5 stars! It’s so easy to navigate, whatever information you’re looking for is very obvious and easy to find and understand. I prefer to make my appointments on the app, it’s so easy! It’s also great because of the option to fill out your information before you go so it’s faster to start. The app keeps up with how much you’ve donated, plus if you don’t know your blood type you can get that information too. It keeps track of your vitals and such from each visit, so if you needed any of that information for your PCP, it’s nice to have that already documented and can be pulled up to check at anytime, so you have that info for your Dr if needed. As far as donating and the location, during your appointment, It is very clean and feels like a safe environment. The staff are all very nice and very helpful. I was trapped in a house fire and nearly died in 2018. 53% of my body with 2nd and 3rd degree burns, they thought I was dead when they pulled me out of the house, but fortunately an officer who was formerly an EMT noticed I was barely hanging on, and all of the first responders were a wonderful blessing and I thank god for them everyday. I am not aware of exactly what treatments I received as I was in the hospital for months, but I imagine that I most likely received blood donations. Until then I never realized how much it helps people, how often it’s needed for patients, or even how appreciative Drs and patients are for this kindness. After my accident, I decided I want to give back as often as I can, when my health is doing good. It really does feel wonderful to know that you’re helping someone else live, and it’s not too difficult to donate. I wish I didn’t have poor health so I could donate as often as allowed, but unfortunately I have health problems from my disability (the fire left me with a lot of issues/disabilities), so I donate as often as my Dr says I’m doing well. I’m so proud when I get to donate, and I’m so proud of other people who are being so selfless and caring and donate if they’re eligible. I’m always trying to get my friends to join me at an appointment, so they can feel the way that it makes me feel, but no luck so far. Which shows me that when the Red Cross says they are critically low, I believe them. It doesn’t hurt, it’s very safe and sanitary, it doesn’t take too much time, they make sure you’re comfortable, and you’re saving lives, so why not donate if you’re healthy enough to help someone else with such minimal effort? God bless everyone who shares in this kindness, and even to those who wish they could and have tried but just aren’t eligible. I almost died, and I’m still alive because of people who care. I want to pass that on, and to those of you who have donated, you’re the reason someone like me is still alive. Anyway I had to drive it home how easy it is to save a life when it is desperately needed. Someone saved my life. And I also want to praise the Red Cross for helping me when I had my accident, they helped out with more than just blood, they made sure I had a safe and stable place to go upon release, and even paid for it and other expenses I had. I think a lot of people don’t know how much the Red Cross actually does for people besides blood donations. And never once was I asked to pay anything back, report what the money bought, I didn’t have gobs of paperwork to fill out and in fact, they did that for me too. They didn’t even ask me to fill out a survey. They literally asked nothing from me, except maybe my address. Any little thing that you can do for the Red Cross goes a long way, and I thank the Red Cross for the help I received in my time of need. Although it’s hard for me to give due to health, I still want to donate every chance I get. I hope others feel as blessed as I do that the Red Cross is here, blessed that they saved my life, and just blessed overall to have such caring and selfless people working for them, and patients that selflessly donate and support in other ways as well. I didn’t mean to go on a rant, so I’ll end here. Support the Red Cross!

I willing to platelets donation

Easy to use!

I love how easy it is to use this app. I definitely donate more because of the connivence and because I am trying to get all those badges. 🤣

Serving since years ago

I love the Red Cross, they serve the best blood

Double Reds

Going to the main office let’s me schedule whenever I’m available instead of waiting for a drive somewhere. Always nice people!

Large leakage of blood from donating

The past few times my entire side of arm where blood was drawn turned black and blue. I stopped by center to show them and they said “z that happens”. Tone to stop

Civic Duty

I’m not a person to volunteer for a lot of things so I figure my way of giving back to the community is donating a pint of blood six times a year. The Red Cross staff is always friendly, caring and appreciative.

E-Z!

The Red Cross Should Probably Re-evaluate Their Messaging

If the Red Cross can defer me instantly for 3-6 weeks because my last donation contained bacteria, why then do I get a promotional text message today regarding gift cards and Hello Kitty merch? Why do I not find out I’m eligible to donate again 24 hours after my eligibility is back to normal only because I called the 800 number to remind the Red Cross I’m deferred? It sounds like a case of the Red Cross’ right hand not knowing what its left hand is doing.

I’ve been donating blood products since 1987 and I am pretty close to reaching 100 gallons. Imagine if I was a friend I had recently talked into donating for the first time three weeks ago. I didn’t like missing two of my appointments and I’m now worried my name might not be on the plaque for the first time in probably seven years. I take my platelet donations very seriously and have no idea why bacteria was found in or near my last donation, but I will say that sitting out for three weeks was debilitating and having to find out I’m eligible again only because I bothered to call is frustrating. If you can inform me of a bad donation immediately through texts or the app, why then couldn’t you have texted me, or at the very least, email me that I was eligible yesterday? Had I not called, I probably wouldn’t have found out I’m eligible for another 3-5 days while waiting for a letter in the mail. In my opinion , the Red Cross needs to re-evaluate their messaging.

You never know who you’re really helping

When I needed blood, they were there so I feel like the best thing I can do is keep on giving back!

No excuses for putting it off with this easy app

Mobile Blood Drives

I enjoy being a donor with my friends and family at work at Delta Air Lines. We are the top Corporate Donor. I love that American Red Cross tells me where my blood is put to use. In Newark NJ this time.

Wasting My Time

So you are in dire need of blood - you set up appointments and then don’t have staff to work the appointments. Very disappointing!! If you have people schedule a time, make sure you have the workers to do the job!

Easy App to maneuver

Very happy with all EXCEPT the rewards program doesn’t let me use. EVERYTIME I try to log in it says it’s invalid

The Gift of Life

It’s always a pleasure to give blood and the staff is always welcoming and knowledgeable

Giver of Life ❤️

May those who are not well received the gift of Life by Jesus Christ and the donors who cares about you! ❤️ Amen ❤️
