Love it but needs remove friend feature

Yeah love this app but I need to remove a friend because pain yeah please add that feature

Perfect for an adhd brain

I was so sick of knowing I had an addiction to my phone and the internet, I could hear my inner voice yelling to stop as I was sucked into scrolling or picking up my phone first thing in the morning. I’d wish that my phone could just text/make calls, play music/books, take photos and hive directions but without the access to anything else. No scrolling, no constant news cycle, no dopamining in the worst way. I would loose hours and hours to it . I now have my phone set up to only allow the things I actually want access to and I can feel my brain coming back into its creative power. This is such a helpful tool, it is pricey but I choose to think of it as a one time purchase medicine to help my brain.

Good solution, buggy execution

The app blocker search functionality constantly crashes. It takes 5 minutes to add 10 app to the blocked approved list. Constantly crashing then restarting the app and navigating to same spot

The scheduled time feature stops working randomly

I think this my main problem with the app. Other than that it’s great.

Sometimes in the morning it doesn’t work

It is a great app. It forces me to put down my phone and work but in the mornings is when I struggle with my phone the most and so does the app. If I schedule beforehand to block my phone in the morning I would wake up to all my apps even tho the app itself says they’re blocked.

FAQ

What does Bloom do?

Bloom is a productivity app designed to help you conquer screen time. It uses an NFC keycard to block distracting apps and websites, requiring you to tap the card to your phone to access them. This physical control method aims to improve focus and reduce phone usage.

How does the NFC keycard work?

You select the apps or websites you find most distracting within the Bloom app. To block these distractions, you tap your Bloom NFC keycard to your phone. To unblock them, you tap the card again. This physical action creates a barrier to accessing your chosen distractions.

What are the key features of Bloom?

Key features include the ability to choose and block distracting apps, set personalized schedules for focus periods, manage the frequency and duration of breaks, and enable a strict mode that prevents app deletion. It also offers emergency exits to unblock apps without the card up to three times.

Is Bloom compatible with my device?

The app description implies compatibility with NFC-enabled phones, as the core functionality relies on tapping an NFC keycard. Specific operating system requirements or device compatibility lists are not detailed in the provided information, but NFC capability is essential.

How can Bloom help with digital detox?

Bloom offers a unique physical solution for digital detox by making access to distracting apps require a deliberate physical action with the NFC keycard. This, combined with features like scheduled focus periods and break limits, encourages more mindful phone usage and helps users spend more time on other activities.
