Beware: My Bloomberg Digital renewal jumped from $149 to $399 — and getting my money back was a nigh
Bloomberg Digital charged me $399 instead of the $149 I agreed to — no warning, no consent. Apple’s investigation didn’t get my money back. Over an hour on the phone with Bloomberg support led to nothing but delays and a flat refund denial.
I checked the BBB and found many other customers reporting the same unexpected renewal charges and refund fights — this isn’t a one-off. Bloomberg L.P., founded by and still majority-owned by Michael Bloomberg, should be fixing this instead of making customers battle for money they never authorized.
I’m still demanding my $399 back. If you’re considering this subscription, check the BBB complaints first. I would not recommend it.

Watchlist Limitations
Overall, recent changes shows no discernible improvements despite every releases make the same claims, but somehow managed to break even more things. Is the development team now so incompetent, decimated by firing due to AI, or just nobody left to care?

- no separate entry for commission cost
- does not track sell orders
- some daily fund prices are rounded

You tap a video and it pops up a page with a still frame at the top, a description, and up next below that. No video ever plays
Disappointing app quality
Looking forward to learning more about finance under the name of the famous Bloomberg, and I can’t believe this is what I paying for.
No problem with content, but with the app itself.
Too long loading, poorly organised content board, malfunctioning stream player.
Clicking on the features they provide in email, redirecting to app, and the app accuses me of being potential auto crawling bot.
I hate it now and I’d rather use browser for Bloomberg content, so just stop redirecting me to the app from browser.
It doesn’t have to end up this way.

Paying for a broken app
Pay an exorbitant subscription for the right to view the headline but not the article. They broke the app and now none of the articles open when you click them.
The fact that the app’s most basic function—opening articles—is broken tells you everything.
The fact that this is supposed to be the mecca of financial journalism—covering trillions of dollars across the global economy—is laughable at this point. With the sheer number of bugs, the app feels more like BuzzFeed than a serious financial news platform. There’s embarrassing, and then there’s this.

Unreliable
Riddle with bugs and crashes lots since recent June 2026 updates.
App is broken
While it’s always been a little buggy, the latest update broke the app so that you can not click a link to get to an underlying story. No links work at all. If you close the app and relaunch it repeatedly, you can get it to work for a couple of minutes, before it locks up again. Please fix this. And test before you deploy. I am on iOS 26.5.1 on an iPhone 17 Pro

Must have on all smartphones.
Everyone should be downloading and looking at this app regularly. It offers so much and even if you are not a businessman/woman, you still stand to gain from the content contained within. Highly recommended to all.

Despite having had a subscription for multiple years I now experience continuous portal access problems that are not easily resolved
