Great content, awful ux
Love the content on bloomberg, but the app is a discoverability mess. Hard to navigate and get to what you’re actually looking for. Most annoyingly, at least today, it appears the iphone app has a “Your News” tab making it easy to see the news I care about, but ipad does not. Frustrating.
Video streaming buggy
Can’t watch the livestreams. Just stuck. And when it rarely works I’m forced to watch 30 second ads

sometimes clicking a notification doesn’t open the article. i’ve noticed this only occurs when there’s an interruption in internet connection. besides that, works as intended. though still seeing ads despite paying a subscription is annoying.
Poor App Performace
I love Bloomberg’s news and information but their App is a poor performer. It constantly skips and jump backwards as I scroll the stories while enjoying my morning coffee. It is to the point that I usually cannot read the bottom half of the dashboard. Its advertising platform is as poor and CBSNews’ website. With the fee I pay annually for my account along with what terminal users pay, I would expect a better GUI with more efficient performance.

Video screen hangs on iphone. Have to restart phone
Love bloomberg but this app needs a more in depth user interface.
If I leave the video screen running sometimes it will hang with a black screen that I cant close and the window is just black and the only way to refresh app so it reloads is restarting the phone.
Please fix this. Extremely annoying. It would be nice to have streaming of just audio feed from tv programs when I cant watch when in low data environments. Let us customize our settings!

This app quickly became my number one source for economic and national news.
Unstable on Apple TV
Issue: Frequent freezing on Apple TV during live streams. The playback consistently locks up on transitions to and from advertisements, requiring a full app restart to continue watching.

Beware: My Bloomberg Digital renewal jumped from $149 to $399 — and getting my money back was a nigh
Bloomberg Digital charged me $399 instead of the $149 I agreed to — no warning, no consent. Apple’s investigation didn’t get my money back. Over an hour on the phone with Bloomberg support led to nothing but delays and a flat refund denial.
I checked the BBB and found many other customers reporting the same unexpected renewal charges and refund fights — this isn’t a one-off. Bloomberg L.P., founded by and still majority-owned by Michael Bloomberg, should be fixing this instead of making customers battle for money they never authorized.
I’m still demanding my $399 back. If you’re considering this subscription, check the BBB complaints first. I would not recommend it.

Watchlist Limitations
Overall, recent changes shows no discernible improvements despite every releases make the same claims, but somehow managed to break even more things. Is the development team now so incompetent, decimated by firing due to AI, or just nobody left to care?

- no separate entry for commission cost
- does not track sell orders
- some daily fund prices are rounded

You tap a video and it pops up a page with a still frame at the top, a description, and up next below that. No video ever plays
Disappointing app quality
Looking forward to learning more about finance under the name of the famous Bloomberg, and I can’t believe this is what I paying for.
No problem with content, but with the app itself.

Clicking on the features they provide in email, redirecting to app, and the app accuses me of being potential auto crawling bot.
I hate it now and I’d rather use browser for Bloomberg content, so just stop redirecting me to the app from browser.

Pay an exorbitant subscription for the right to view the headline but not the article. They broke the app and now none of the articles open when you click them.
