The Best Audiobook Player
I have been on the hunt for an audiobook player that would also track my listening history (without the user needing server set up/tech knowledge).
On top of being able to do that, this app contains a multitude of additional features.
My personal favorite is the Character identification feature. In the past, I have frequently had to pause my audiobook and search the ebook for a name, in order to figure out who they were again lol this feature will be a life saver!
I am beyond impressed and incredibly grateful to the developer.
I also appreciate the receptiveness to feedback, which is what drew me in to downloading the app.
Im already looking forward to future updates and exited to see this app take over the game!

Cool, but can’t get Audible to work
Great idea, but I can’t get it to work that my audible collection. Any tips?

Sorry about this, and thank you for flagging it. There was an Audible import issue for about 24 hours, and I fixed it last night in the latest update. Can you please try again when you get a chance? If it works now, I’d really appreciate an updated review. If it’s still not working, send feedback from inside the app and I’ll help you directly.

This makes me so happy to read. “Features I didn’t know I wanted” is basically exactly what I’m trying to build here. I wanted Bloox to feel like more than just playback, especially with transcription and those “wait, what just happened?” moments. Thank you, and good news: this should be fixed in the latest version. The Google Drive connection flow should now be much smoother, without needing to manually advance through the account connection step. Really appreciate you calling this out, because this kind of feedback helps me find and fix the annoying little things that get in the way of actually enjoying the app.

This makes me very happy to read. I’ve been trying hard to make the AI features actually useful while listening, not just “AI because AI” - which is what I feel a lot of other apps are doing... So hearing that it gave you things you had wished for is exactly the kind of feedback I was hoping for. Audio books finally have a good home
It’s super easy to add books from anywhere. The recap and character lists are nice to have when you feel lost in a long saga. And the “recap” is amazing!

Wow, this is such a great review. The “good home” line really means a lot, because that’s basically the whole idea behind Bloox. I wanted long books and big series to feel easier to live with, especially when you come back after a break and need help remembering where you are. I love audiobooks, but I always felt the apps were mostly just pressing play instead of helping me actually stay inside the story. Thank you, I really appreciate this. The transcription view is probably the part of Bloox I’m most proud of, because when it works well it changes the feeling of listening. You’re still listening, but you have something visual to anchor you when the audio gets dense or your attention drifts. Really glad it’s working well for you.
