The SAT needs to be slimed out.
It started back in October of 2025 when my life was flipped upside down. I was a youngin’ back in junior year when I was persecuted by the PSAT. The PSAT singlehandedly sucked the soul out of my body. Why is the SAT getting harder and harder? What is the point of having Desmos if NOTHING works. I HATE the SAT. Why was everything constants in the math section. There was ZERO numbers. In addition, the English module 2 was a module from HELL. I felt like I got self-diagnosed with dyslexia after reading the questions. WHY WERE THE ANSWER CHOICES LONGER THAN THE MAIN PASSAGE.

I hate this app because of AP
Worked great 9/12/2026
I was so worried after seeing the 1.5 stars, I borrowed a Windows laptop loaded with Bluebook. I also ran it on Tahoe 26.6.2, which is a smidge above recommended version, but my laptop had been below recommended version, and I couldn’t find a way to easily update to the previous version. Anyway, worked perfectly today, so I want to offset the very low average. SAT completed without any app flaws.

Bluebook has become un-updateable
I work on a macbook that is fairly new and for some reason i am consistantly unable to update bluebook? I have used it for previous tests with collegeboard before and it worked fantastic but for some reason its being a little POS.
Also i would like to note that the practice tests are fairly unhelpful. I think the question we should all be asking is why doesn't collegeboard provide this service on website where it is easy to access?

its a digusting app, the updates take so long, its horrible when taking tests, and overall an ugly platform.
I would rate this zero stars if I could
I cannot even believe that this horrible software managed to get worse. It is requiring the absolute newest operating system in order to 'function', making the testing system far more inaccessible. In addition to that, it doesn't even work well. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's always a gamble, and I have never once been satisfied with the UI of this software. It this is the main test taking software among America's youth, I worry for the future of humanity.

Can't work on a computer it used to work on
I took my last SAT 5 months ago, where bluebook worked perfectly fine on my computer. Now, 5 months later, bluebook does not work for my computer. Every friend I have called attempting to use their computer, it stopped working for theirs too. Most stupid update everywhere. They already expect every kid to have their own computer, and now every kid needs to newest computer to be able to take the SAT that they already have to pay $100 something to retake. Whoever is in charge of this app right now needs to reflect on themselves and think of the disadvantages they are giving kids.

On test day, it doesn’t work. The app says that I had to restart the day before the test but it didn’t even display that warning the day before? I don’t even get why this is being a problem
It ate my family
This is my first and only review (might make one for e hallpass). When I was testing, a gigantic monster suddenly emerged from my bluebook that engulfed the whole testing room…by the time I came to the test was already over and I went home only to realize that it was sitting in the middle of my house! I watched in horror as this monster stormed up the stairs into my sleeping parents’ room and swallowed them up whole before disappearing into a black hole. I still haven’t heard from them till this day…

Hard to use, confusing. It broke on test day
This wonderful application decided to break itself on the day the school planned for. As this was towards the end of the year, it was a headache for all students and staff. I would give it a lower rating if I could.
Apparently the SAT is Accessible
As someone with accommodations, Collegeboard should provide a paper test for those who are in need of it; a digital screen is far likely to cause eye strain for those with dyslexia, dyslexia effects 10% of the populations; those with ADHD are impared of annotations, effecting 5%; and generally staring at a high contrast screen for hours accelerates mental exaustion for neurodiverse brains. Okay... and the countless people I heard have cheated on this digital exams with an outside application is insane. Screens should be montitored if they take cheating so seriously, given that there are students who study months, or even years for this exam; while for others all it takes is some money to buy an AI screen companion (which, by the way, uses a vast amount of energy, causes thermal water pollution, collect and spread data, and wow I could keep the reasons going down forever, unfortunately I don't have the time for that; I have probably made my point here, Collegeboard could simply use paper, then recycle it after for the next exams, is it convenient, no? But is it eco friendly, supports neuro divergent minds, and prevents data breach, yes).
