This app caused me distress panic and a whole lot of sadness I would never wish this on my worst enemy. This is a punishment suited for the final ring of hell.

If I can give 0 stars I would give you 0. By this latest update, you expect me to buy a new Mac? Why is this not backward compatible? This is such a crime.
Updates, Crashes, and More!
It always updates at the worst time (in the middle of practice tests). It always crashes at the worst times (during AP Euro and an SAT). It does everything wrong. Also college board sucks.

I’ve never had a problem with this app and it seems to be all the bad ratings are from years ago.
Why?
The entire system is poorly made and evokes a primal fear into any student who has ever used it.

Honestly, the app isn’t even close to as awful as these dudes say it is. It is literally just for taking the test I think these people just gotta learn to study and do well.

I had a really disappointing experience with the Bluebook app. It was frustrating to use, felt unreliable, and made something that should have been straightforward much more stressful. The interface could be more intuitive, and the app needs better stability and clearer guidance when something goes wrong. For an app students are expected to depend on for important testing, I expected a much smoother and more dependable experience.

Ruined my life
I was a better person before Bluebook. I had light in my eyes and I could go about my life worry free. That was until bluebook exams came into my life. Now, when I look in the mirror, I look like I went to three wars consecutively. Someone please sue this app and the company behind it.
Mac compatibility
I find it completely outrageous that Bluebook is no longer compatible on my device. My laptop is a 2017 Macbook pro which was able to run Bluebook perfectly 2 months ago during my AP testing, but now as I prepare for my SAT I've learned that my laptop is no longer compatible. I just paid a ton of money to fix its screen that I broke to last me one more year, I might as well have put it towards a new Mac if I would've known one of the most important softwares no longer can be run on a perfectluy good mac that does not need to be replaced.

Recent update broke the app
The update last Thursday (August 13, 2026) broke the app on my computer. When opened, Bluebook insists that I need to update in order to use it, but the app store shows that it *did* update four days ago. Good job, College Board.

Pay sites spamming 1-star reviews
This app works perfectly, my daughter is using it now to get ready for the SAT. You’re seeing reviews by pay sites that want you to use their app instead of the much better free one. Don’t fall for it.
