Endless requests for more access

It’s harassment for you to ask me 30 times for permission for more access and more notifications every time I want to record a reading. Surely there’s a way you can record my preferences and not ask multiple times every single time I open the app. It makes me hate using it, so I record fewer records. I’m asking my doctor for a different option at our next meeting. Ugh.

Using for years

I finally realized I should send a report to myself on a weekly basis, not just to my doctor before a checkup. This way I can download all my records to my computer.
There is one problem or bug. Periodically a survey pops up asking if I am taking a certain prescription. The problem is that I will be asked about the lower doses I am no longer taking before being asked about the higher dosage I take now. The lower doses were removed from the medication list when my dosage was increased.

Measurements

Many foods say “one serving. Some have the option of a half or a quarter. For most foods you need to have the label of the package to determine what a serving size is. This is very inconvenient, if you’re not near the food package or already disposed of it. Could you break it down more:
Small Ex: an item says 1 srvg. The label says 1 srvg= 1 tblsp. If you only had 2 tsp, there is no choice except 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 etc. -none of which equal 2 tsp.

Diabetic help

This app helps make me more conscientious about my meal planning and prepping. In conjunction with my Dexcom it helps me make good choices from meal to meal and day to day. I like the ease of use, tracking over time and ability to track many restaurants when I eat out. The only criticism is that serving sizes are not easily available for all foods so I have to either research on off site places or guess.

Glitchy

The app must be deleted and reinstalled if food information is not put in precisely the correct way; otherwise, the app crashes and I can’t log in. This issues has been ongoing for several years.

Great program

Great program

Lots of issues

Only syncs with meter abiut 60% of the time. Have to disable and re-enable Bluetooth several times and even then it may not sync.

Stop Asking for More Access

I use to app to track my glucose levels, and have overall been satisfied except for the continuing requests to add more information - meals, fitness, etc. With the most recent update, every time I open the app, which is every day, sometimes multiple times a day, before I can do anything, the app asks me to turn on notifications and to allow it to have full access to my health app. I am not interested in doing those things, and I should be able to use this app without having to tell you that multiple times a day. Please roll back these constant requests, or I will be unwilling to use this app going forward and I will ask my doctor to switch me to a different glucose monitor.

I really enjoy the app

Food log recent does not work

Using recent foods when logging meals causes app to crash. This has been consistently happening for a year.

Love it but keeps crashing

I love this app but haven’t been able to use it for days because it crashes as soon as I open it.

Edit: I uninstalled and reinstalled the app per customer service instructions and now it works fine:)

Great app

This a great app for counting carbs, keeping track of your medication, general health info and so much more. I wish it were available to all users. I was told it is only available through employer heath programs.

Will not load in Canada

This will not “configure” in Canada

App is trash

Great idea but it won’t sync to any devices. Every sync attempt ends in a “Bluetooth error” notification. This is funny since none of my other Bluetooth-reliant apps have any trouble whatsoever.

Will not load Canada

Canada as a country will not load?

Trouble

Each time I log into BlueStar the system acts like I am a new user. It goes through sitting up a code every time. Very irritating .

Cant use without logging in

No way to assess whether this would be a good app for me because the FIRST thing you have to do it Sign UP for something.
Why cant a person simply open the app -look around -see if it will work -before you have to do all the “create and account” stuff. There are so many apps out there that I have an account with JUST because I wanted to see if it would work for me…and I NEVER go back … but those accounts are still out there…
I’m tired of having everything under covers until you give up your identity -so for me -I will never know if this is a great app or it doesn’t fit.
Thanks anyway

Good App

I have been using BlueStar for several years now. I find that is very useful. However, in the last week I have a problem. If I try to open the app from my password manager all I get is the first page and nothing else. I must get the app and use it indenpent of the password manager. It is small and I DO NOT LIKE IT! Other than that it is v dry good.

Can’t use because I don’t have insurance?!

I’m retired, but not qualified for Medicare. I do not have health insurance so I can’t use this app.
To sign up it says I need a code from my employer or insurers.
Thanks.
