Useless App - Won’t take proper pictures, won’t scan Documents

This is a totally useless app, it won’t take proper pictures with an IPhone, it will not scan government ids, I told my bank this is a disaster and complete waste of time.

I do not recommend the app to anyone for any sort of id validation!

Response from developer

Sorry about that. What's the issuing state/province and the type of ID you were trying to scan? Your review shows "United States", and the only US IDs we currently support are US passports, NEXUS cards, and FAST cards.

Shaun Downing

It took a bit of time to do the passport

Response from developer

Thanks for your feedback, Shaun. I'll forward it to my team for investigation. Feel free to contact us at support@bluink.ca if you have more feedback. All the best.

FAQ

What is this app?

This app digitizes and securely stores your government-issued identity and self-managed identity information on your iPhone. It aims to make online identity verification quicker, easier, and more secure by eliminating passwords and strengthening privacy. Your verified identity is stored locally on your device, giving you complete control.

How does identity verification work?

During registration, you use your iPhone to prove your identity by taking a selfie with a liveness check and scanning your government-issued photo identity documents. Your iPhone is then issued a unique digital identity, which includes a digital certificate with verified identity claims.

Is my identity information stored in the cloud?

No, your identity information is always in your possession on your iPhone. It is never hosted by a centralized service or third-party provider or stored in the cloud. Once verified, a secure certificate is installed on your iPhone and is not accessible to anyone but you until you choose to share it.

What are the requirements to register?

To register, you need an iPhone with iOS 15 or later, an email address, a government-issued photo ID (a passport is recommended), and you will perform a liveness check using your device's front-facing camera.

Can I use this app as a substitute for legal identification?

Currently, this app cannot be used as a substitute for legal identification. The goal is to improve access to services that require verified identity, including government, financial, and health care sectors, by streamlining the verification process.
