I don’t know why this app is here
First of all, none of my articles I saved load despite setting the app’s reader as the default. 13 articles from 4 different unpaywalled websites. Not a single one saves with the extracted article: I do get a link intended to redirect me to the site I saved the article from, which defeats the purpose of me saving it in the first place. This is one of the issues I raised when I sent them an email. At that time, it was 2 websites and I specified them.
The syncing feature takes forever, to the point where, I haven’t even bothered to check if I have everything on the same devices, especially if you consider the first two issues. Connected to the syncing feature is this: when you save in Safari, it doesn’t automatically move to the app.
Secondly, the space dedicated to the reader is smaller than the capture area. There’s more space for the captured items and the reader has 1/4 of the screen real estate. No, beyond a certain point, you cannot adjust it. If you’re a reader and you’ve used other reading apps, you know you don’t dedicate more real estate to displaying captures at the expense of the reader.
I would have loved nothing better than to quietly use the app I purchased and go about my merry way but alas, wishes aren’t horses. Perhaps, if I’d seen a review like this, I would have stayed away. Hopefully, this helps you make an informed decision.
Free Lifetime Trace scam (Updated)
Update : Developer reached out and asked I SS the paywall pic and when I opened the app to do so the restore option was showing now and I hit restore and I’m back being a lifetime pro, love the app just was mad I lost Lifetime access for a bit
Response from developer
Hey, really sorry about this, that should not be happening. If you redeemed LIFETIMETRACE back in November, your lifetime access should still be active. Could you email me at hello@theblackholecompany.com with screenshot of the paywall? I'll get it sorted right away.
Free Lifetime Trace scam
Amazing
Now, with the ability to categorize screenshots, and also the addition of the Mac version, I think everyone should have this app on their device.
Response from developer
Thank you so much, this genuinely made our day! We've put a lot of work into making each update feel faster and more polished, so hearing that it shows means everything. The screenshot categorization and Mac version are just the beginning, there's a lot more coming. Thanks for being along for the ride!
Good
Excellent app

Excellent
Great app
Ein Augenschmaus!
Ein Wunsch wäre, dass man bei Links von Webseiten die keine Screenshots mitliefern eigene Bilder einsetzen könnte.
Trotzdem: Unbedingt mal ausprobieren!
Great bookmark Organizer
One issue: Imported Chrome bookmarks show up as raw HREF links instead of proper URLs, which makes them hard to use. Fixing that would help a lot. A web dashboard to manage saved and imported bookmarks would also make the workflow smoother. Aside from these gaps, the app works as intended.
Response from developer
Thanks for the detailed feedback! The Chrome import issue is noted and improvements are planned. A web dashboard is also something I’m considering for the future.
GOOD
Response from developer

Response from developer
Thanks! Glad you’re enjoying the reminder feature 😊
Solid app to save everything!
Response from developer
Thank you! Really glad to hear the app is useful to you
Hands down! Best all in one app
good app, but some bugs.
i also tried to email to give this feedback, but every time i select the option it says “email can’t be sent from this device”
hopefully the kinks can be worked out, because the app is great otherwise.
Response from developer
Thanks for the feedback and kind words! Both issues have been fixed in the latest update.
Very good bookmark manager
The UI is too “deep”, meaning it takes too long to get past the metadata to the content. Once I’ve drilled into a collection, I’d like to tap once to start reading, but instead I get the summary / caption screen and I have to tap again to get to the actual page. Related: it would be nice to have both “open link” AND “open in browser” in the context menu to bypass the reader entirely for sites I know to be badly behaved in the in-app browser / reader (which is usually fine, and I’d prefer to stay in-app when it works, and not have to drill all the way down when it doesn’t).
I appreciate the configurability of the collection contents and captures views because I like lots of rows visible at once (so the “Compressed” view is great). I’d like to see that on the Collections view as well. I don’t care for the “3 item fan” icon, it’s not particularly useful and takes up way too much space. I only see 4 rows on my iPhone screen, and a truncated name and description in the tiny horizontal space allocated to them. I’d prefer being able to select an icon from one of the great open source icon collections out there so the “Compressed” row of the Collections view would have more room for item name and description. The “Compact” and “Compressed” rows could trade off 2 and 1 line descriptions to increase the number of collections on screen at once.
Finally, when I installed the app on iPad after running on iPhone, it created a second “Uncategorised” collection, and new uncategorized captures on the iPhone go into one while captures on iPad go into the other (unless I tap the button that shows all collections and then guess which is which). Extremely minor quibble: let me edit the “Uncategorised” collection so I can use the American spelling of “Uncategorized” 😜.
Apologies for the novel, but it’s an indication of how much I like the app that I took the time!
