Absolutely pitiful
It would appear there is no upgrade in sight for this ridiculously poor app. Forever freezing, slow to load, and not user friendly in the slightest. Ive been banking with boq for over 25 years and i am about to switch all of my accounts including my business account due to how terrible this app is.
No Face ID login

This has to be one of the worst banking apps I've ever seen and had the displeasure of having to use. I'm actually switching banks it's so rubbish.

The Bank of Queensland Classic app is honestly one of the worst banking apps I’ve used. The interface feels outdated, slow, and clunky compared to most other Australian banking apps. Basic features that should be simple end up taking way longer than they should because the navigation isn’t intuitive.
The app frequently logs you out, loads slowly, and sometimes takes multiple attempts just to check balances or make transfers. For a bank in 2026, the technology feels years behind competitors like CommBank or Up.
Another issue is reliability — there are times when the app struggles to load accounts or displays errors, which is extremely frustrating when you’re trying to manage payments quickly.
Overall, the user experience is poor, the design feels old, and the performance is inconsistent. BOQ seriously needs to invest in improving this app because right now it feels like a major step behind the rest of the banking industry.

The worst banking app ever
This app sucks. I can’t even log in anymore so it’s absolutely useless. I’d give it 0 stars if I could.
Worst financial app ever
The old telephone bank is more reliable than this app. Enter your account number and password and the screen turns white and freezes. Deleted and reinstalled countless times.
Review of app not bank
I have been persistently trying to use this app since I joined boq 8 years ago and it has never been easy to use nor is the code bug free. It makes me wonder if the code has been adequately validated. Please update it to be as user friendly as other banks apps before I junk it and close my account.
Worst banking app ever!
Outdated and useless. When you can finally get into it the information is not up to date. Can no longer access credit card details so now have 2 apps for one bank and have to use BPay to pay the credit card. Ridiculous.

One of the WORST apps or banking even just the classic online site is the same. They nailed the MyBOQ app why the hell can’t they make this like that? This forever has log in issues DAILY if not HOURLY.
It’s so bad it’s making me consider switching banks even though I have been with BOQ for decades. But the classic online for any banking online is soooooo bad and you won’t fix for whatever reason….

Oh my god
This app is so bad if I was jigsaw I’d put the creator of this app in a saw trap and rig it AND HE WOULD DIE. I HATE THIS APP. ITS SLOW AND STUPID AND IM GONNA DIE
The worst app I’ve ever used
If I was choosing a bank based on their app I wouldn’t go with boq. Their app is the slowest glitchiest app you’ll ever use.

This app is terrible. It’s clunky, you can never log into it, it freezes, considering my lively hood depends on my banking app I’m actually an idiot for still using boq as my bank.
Constant crashing
I would rate this zero stars if I could. Worst app I’ve ever owned in my life for one of the most important things to have control of for your life - FINANCES! I truly hope the app developer retires and the entire team involved do the world a favour and never create an app again.
Terrible App
This is a terrible user friendly app. It’s constantly down. I find it very inconvenient to have to get my member number to log in all the time. That’s if it even lets you log in. How about a PIN number like all the other banks or even facial identification?? I can’t wait until I’m not locked into your home loan any more so I can switch banks purely because of the inconvenience of the app.

Quite possibly the worst app I’ve used
Always under maintenance but never getting any better. Clunky and slow and I can’t even log in most mornings. Will be looking into using a different bank.
Pathetic excuse for a banking app
No MFA or Face ID to log in. No Osko. No payID. No option to load credit cards to your phone wallet. Cannot adjust withdrawal limits from the app. Frequent app crashes.

It’s hard to believe this app is what is being offered by a bank. If I didn’t know BOQ was actually a genuine bank, I’d think this was some sort of scams
