Best parking + commute combo
Super easy to use. Booking parking and commuting into the city with Boxcar is simple and convenient. The buses feel modern and up to date, with WiFi, comfortable seats, and a much smoother way to get where you need to go.
App does not work
App is slow and will not fill in for account completion. Trying to setup account for parking reservation but does not work at all. Been told from multiple sources and can confirm this is a non working app.

Their GPS tracking
Their GPS tracking is terrible, almost believe it is a fake approximation of where it should be on their buses. They are always behind schedule and they change locations with pushes 5 minutes before. Too expensive and needs to improve being reliable.
Fantastic Commuting Experience with Boxcar!
My first ride with Boxcar exceeded all expectations!. The booking process was seamless and convenient. The app is very user friendly and it took no more than a minute to book my ticket. The communication from Boxcar was prompt and clear and their customer service was incredibly personalized. Will be booking on South Mountain again!

Changed my commute
After riding NJ transit for years, finding Boxcar completely changed my commute. I no longer have to walk a mile to my office from Penn, and now get dropped off steps from my office. The customer service team is extremely responsive as well.
Revolutionary
Boxcar has completely revolutionized my commute. I walk a few minutes from my home to my towns stop and get on in the morning. It drives me right to my office in midtown. The buses come equipped with A/C and wifi. I get to sit back, relax and maybe even get a head start on work for the day. Thank you Boxcar!

Fix the horizontal vs portrait screen lock
When I have my screen locked to portrait, and I have to go to your app it disrespects my screen lock and makes my ticket appear on horizontal landscape. Please look at how njtransit app does the ticket display and mimick the behavior.

No… just no.
Way too expensive. No way I can justify paying double the cost of NJ transit unless there are significant delays and even then you are still not guaranteed a spot. They make it sound like the ritz Carlton. No bus is worth 43 dollars a day. C ya never again boxcar.
No Apple Pay, no auto fill, no rich form support
Onerous. Can’t auto fill because the app doesn’t format fields correctly. Have to copy and paste but it doesn’t detect that so you have to press one character manually. It’s like an android app from 2014

Such an easy way to get into the city! No changing trains, just super comfy ride & sleep time before I landed right in Bryant Park. Thank you!! App was also straightforward and simple and clean.
Great NYC Commute!
Boxcar is a wonderful and easy bus service into NYC. As someone who was constantly stranded by NJT, I was relieved to find an option that is comfortable, reliable and allows me to cut out the subway since the bus goes uptown via Madison Ave. The bus is comfortable, relaxing and the driver is awesome, clearly experienced and friendly. I I highly recommend!

Boxcar is on time, quiet, comfortable, pleasant, great customer service, etc. A step up from the trains, and even a step away from the rat race.

Fabulous alternative to taking NJT into Manhattan, particularly for those working in midtown. Clean, high quality buses, great drivers, friendly consistent service, lots of options. Especially post Covid, I would be lost without boxcar.

i found Box car out of Convent due to a disruption in the NJ Train service. I am so happy I tried it and it really is much better than NJT. The app is easy to use and the buses are on time as scheduled. It is a smooth ride in and hassle free.

When I was asked to return to the office post-pandemic, I was NOT looking forward to the public transit (NJ Transit train or bus) commute back to NYC. Good experience
Had a very good experience. I’m not a regular commuter but the trains were down and this is how I got back from a family visit. The experience was super easy, comfortable, timely, and the multiple stops were very helpful for getting where I needed to go.
