Terrible prices and even worse delivery
Always late, most recently they only delivered me 3/18 items I ordered through their awful subcontracted drivers with non-refrigerated personal cars
Good Services, Prices Too High
I have been a long time customer of FreshDirect. I find their food is fresh, delicious and the service is excellent. Lately, though, I am finding FD products priced significantly higher than my local market. Too often I can find the same product, with the same quality, at a much lower price. For example, organic blackberries are $1 cheaper at my local market. That’s a cost savings that is hard to ignore. Also, products I’ve been able to get through FD in the past are no longer being carried. That means I can’t do my whole shop using FD.

Service has gone way down
When Fresh Direct was initially
In Philadelphia, it had amazing service: consistently high quality offering of food, excellent customer service, and on-time delivery. They came back to Philadelphia under new management and the service experience had been totally different. I bought a year delivery pass, but once it’s over I won’t be ordering from here again. Most of the time there isn’t no timeslot available for several days. They have been late every time I’ve ordered, even by several hours. Once they delivered only about 1/3 of my order. It’s also very expensive, though that likely just tracks increased inflation expenses. I miss the old Fresh Direct. I used to love it!

Constant expired/spoiled food
The last few months quality continues to decline. The shoppers are packing food that is spoiled, including meat where the plastic is full of air. I open it anyway to confirm what I already know, it’s spoiled. Why continue to pick products that are bad, the only good thing is their consistent poor quality means I shop myself more now. Turned off the auto renew and when my pass expires I am done.

Very, very, very dissatisfied and disappointed
The quality has gone down tremendously. I don’t have a problem paying extra for things but to get my food delivered by a civilian that smokes marijuana in an unrefrigerated vehicle is absolutely disgusting and abysmally pathetic clean up your act or you won’t be open much longer. I’ve been a customer since 2010 and unfortunately the quality has gone down tremendously since the new ownership has taken place !!!!!!!
