About

Keep your colors, material estimate, and current move together while you make a common eight-cord round Kumihimo disk braid. BraidOrbit is a focused, offline bench companion. Set up eight cord colors on a clear disk diagram, adjust the finished length and allowance, then follow the simple three-move rhythm without losing your place. PLAN YOUR SETUP • Choose a color for each of eight cords • Start with Sunset, Tide, or Checker palettes • Match numbered cord positions to the marked top of your disk • Save separate projects for different braids ESTIMATE MATERIAL • Work in inches or centimeters and switch without changing the plan • Adjust the cord multiplier and finishing allowance • See the estimated cut length for each cord • Review totals grouped by color KEEP YOUR PLACE • Follow lower-left up, upper-right down, then turn • Highlight the current phase on the disk • Save a checkpoint automatically after every move • Undo the latest move or reset when you restart MADE FOR THE WORKBENCH • Add notes about cord, findings, or tension • Duplicate a project to try another color setup • Use on iPhone or iPad • No account, ads, analytics, tracking, or internet connection BraidOrbit covers the common round eight-cord disk workflow. It is not a bead-pattern designer, finished-braid preview, marudai guide, or universal Kumihimo pattern generator. Material use varies with cord, beads, tension, and structure. The calculator is a starting estimate, not a guarantee. Make a short sample and adjust the multiplier before cutting valuable material.
