Overwhelming

It’s such an overwhelming app, it’s just a glorified version of the Calendar app on your phone that just asks how you’re feeling every so often. That you pay extortionate prices for, and it doesn’t even link to iPhone calendars

Terrible

First time signing in and I am told I do not exist and that I have to change my password. That won’t be happening, I’ll just delete the app and not use it as it is obviously not set up to help people. I chose my password as it is something I will easily remember if I forget it. Not a very useful service at all.

Not great

The text support service is bad, would not recommend pressing for support, unless you need to be reminded to self-regulate or contact someone in your 'support network'. It almost seems scripted; there's a lot of repetition. If you just want to vent, someone to hear you out, talk things through and sympathise; this is not good for that. They will just try to offer you solutions. I found the person on the other end to be patronising and they left a tactless note on my timeline, when I had asked them not to write anything, which left me feeling more annoyed. If you are sharing this app with a family member/ trusted person, the timeline feature can be more uncomfortable than helpful, because the person you spoke to will recap the conversation and it will stay there; you can't delete it. I can see how this could be useful to some people but there's no way of removing this feature. Also, I'd changed some settings in the app and when I went back on, it had changed back. It's a little confusing to navigate the solutions packs, especially if the event (first step) is the problem (second step) you want to resolve. But the pre-made ones don't have this issue.

Excellent support

I have Brain in Hand funded via direct payments from my Local Authority. Brain in Hand is such a great app for me, all my strategies are on it for unplanned and diary events, plus the support from a real person ringing me if I’m struggling to regulate. I don’t know where I would be if it weren’t for the support I get from brain in hand!

Access to Work UK

I had Brain in Hand access given to me by my company as part of my Access to Work assessment earlier this year.
I love it. Planning and help when needed. 30 minute response time if needing support normally within 10 minutes. Call or text depending on what is more convenient.
My Brain in Hand coach is really helpful and can contact her outside of sessions if I get stuck with the technical side of the app and to achieve goals set.
I am a lot more productive and the my lizard brain likes the endorphins of ticking things off when they are done.
Life is so much easier with Brain in Hand.

Amazing solution

This is such a great tool for people with Autism and I look forward to supporting our ASD as they get on-boarded here in Toronto, Canada

I LOVE THIS APP

This app is AMAZING I love it sooo much. The whole idea is extraordinarily and I use it for literally everything. The main idea of the app is for people who have autism or other mental health issues can go on it and it helps them cope with problems. I would sooo recommend it to anyone who finds things kinda difficult. Thanks for reading ;)

Inspiring results

The whole experience of having a one to one session, planning my goals and then using the app to make them happen is brilliantly simple but effective.

To complicated

I got autism adhd ect and found this to overwhelming to complicated deleated it fairly quickly after trying the demo

Good & Bad

The Good

This looks to be Absolutely brilliant as a tool for coping when feeling a meltdown building - honestly exactly what would help me

The Bad

£45 a month fee - £540 a year is beyond quite a few people & it could be even higher it seems for beyond basic level. Bluntly that is too much so this is out of the hands of many

It’s ok...

But given the cost of this app it’s update frequency is glacial

You can do pretty much the same thing with a free Nozbe account and do pretty much the basics of this app...

First to review

Seeing as I am the first to review and nobody has. I might as well leave my spot. Even though I haven't used it yet.

1. Good: I like the fact that it could be useful, for people like me with Aspergers and with anxiety.

2. Bad: I don't like how you have to pay for a subscription. When the app is free.

Very Cool

I am a user of this app ( have been for awhile ) and it is so totally a life line for me in everyday life , for people with Autism this ( I find ) really helps

Part of a fantastic package

This app is part of a package that includes an online interface and mentors, you can use this well designed and slick app on its own.But as part of a package of support this is something that can change someone's life, and mean one to one support can be used more effectively, and a person can increase his/her confidence, self esteem and coping strategies.
