Old version better

I came searching for the old store game version and it was gone and replaced with this new stuff. I see why the hype died down and ppl stop playing it. Maybe if it turned back into the way it was with the option of a subscription then it would be better but the way it is now is not likable to people. Another good app gone šŸ˜ž

Potential but

It’s really obvious by how much he charges plus the fact there is no month to month charge that the owner doesn’t have a firm grasp on how destitute some of his players are. The hype for the game is dying. Less players means less money.

In my opinion opening up a month to month charge would open doors, but the focus on a handful of people playing a lot compared to more people paying less is probably detrimental to the long term sustainability of the game.

I suspect he’s aware that many of his players are disabled; the discord has a chronic illness channel; but I think he probably should look at what the budget for a disabled person in various countries really looks like.

I like this game and I want it to survive, but part of surviving means keeping players. Killing the game accidentally by forcing large charges all at once isn’t the financial win he thinks he has.

Large lifetime charges stop bringing in income eventually and 6 month charges are more than my grocery budget. Month to month charges might be more cost in the long run but at least it won’t leave players starving or going into debt.

Again, I like the game. I just think somebody needs to chart the number vs decline of engagement before it goes too far. I don’t disagree with having a paywall, I disagree with how this particular paywall is structured.

You need to fund your game, Stephen, I get it. But if people stop playing because of it? There’s gotta be a middle ground.

Bad

*adjusted with new info.

This was a cute game but after a year of not playing, I found the store game was behind a subscription paywall. The free games are still works in progress and not engaging for me but most of the non-sprite art work is generative AI and you are introduced to them as you enter one of the free games. I had originally enjoyed the game a year ago because it has a vibrant community behind it. But because of the adoption of genAI in the non-sprite artwork and the only game I had enjoyed for fitness are paywall blocked, it nuked the game for me. I would personally rather see artwork done by volunteers of the community (or funny stick figures) rather than genAI images or placeholders.

Response from developer

That's because you are literally paying nothing, and I don't bloat Breezer with any ads. I have to earn money somehow as a business to survive! Also — EVERYTHING has been programmed the old fashioned way by hand. Zero AI slop. Lastly, it's "guy" not "guys" — this is a one-man band.

Fitbit problems

The game is really fun and does make me want to burn more calories. My issue is it doesn’t want to connect to my Fitbit. I restart the app over and over but it does not seem to change the outcome, I can connect it usually once in the morning and by the night it won’t let me reconnect.

Paid

The ads made it seem like it was free and only a shop type game but it’s not and you have to pay to play 370 for this is crazy

Still Stealing My Money

Hello, even though I was emailed months ago last year that this issue was fixed it wasn’t. Breezer is still charging me 19.99 a month on my credit card. I assume they didn’t think I would check? I just want to stop having my money stolen. I tried to delete my account which I’m pretty sure doesn’t exist anymore. I don’t have this app and don’t use it. This is a scam. Don’t ever download this. They’ve taken at least $100 from me.

Bad

This was a cute game and then they put the best feature (the store game) behind a subscription paywall. The free games are buggy AI slop. I had downloaded this game months ago to play the store game through fitness. It was super cool but this new model and update just nuked the whole game for me. Good job guys

Does not work automatically

1) website says email is optional but it’s not, you need to give them your email to get an access code before they let you in the app
2) Requires manually updating your health data (the Back to Quiet game at least), I connected both my Apple Watch and Apple Health (and both are working fine) and saw no progress whatsoever in the first task over half an hour. Not to mention there’s no indication of how many calories or steps or whatever are required to complete your task, nor how many you have already done, just an opaque percentage. Progress seems to only update whenever you manually connect your health data (app, watch, whatever).
3) What makes the above even more frustrating is that support documentation is pretty much non-existent, so there’s no indication whatsoever this might happen nor any instructions on how to fix it (note the developer’s response to my previous review which says basically ā€˜this isn’t our problem, but there should be a solution out there somewhere’)
4) There’s no indication in the description either above or in the main menu of the game, but Back to Quiet is also paywalled after a short trial. It’s basically a visual novel and you use ā€˜physical effort’ to progress. There are very few choices up to the point of the paywall, but if the wild goat that you can choose to either adopt or slaughter is any indication there may be more afterwards. You can’t actually interact with either the dog or the goat though.
5)There are gimmicks within the game that seem to serve no purpose other than making you log in periodically, like the snow that would kill your crops unless you ā€˜tend’ them every hour, or the ā€˜hydration’ that gives you a 20% boost in productivity for 8 hours.
6) Going back to the opacity of the tasks in Back to Quiet, you can start as many as you like at any time, but there’s no task management at all. You can’t decide what to prioritise, and or see which would be finished first, or the progress of each task, or even what tasks you have ongoing at the moment save for the first few.
Needless to say I have uninstalled.

Honestly disappointed

Building your own store and the battle ships game are super fun. The only disappointing thing is the app just doesn’t correctly match calories. The Apple health one will give me 200 when I’m already 1,000 calories in and the Fitbit app just doesn’t connect. I get one connection a day and no matter where I’m at for calories burnt for the day it will tell me I have 0. It makes it impossible to do anything in the app when burning thousand of calories a day and only getting credit for 200-300 of them no matter what I do.

cant get started

i dont use any of the options given to count calories… so is that it i just cant use it?

Stopped working

So I’ve been loving this app to motivate me for a month now and it works wonders for that but all of a sudden I stopped earning coins ? So I have to purchase them if I want to buy anything from the player made items. Which as you can imagine has been a big problem and yeah I’ve been using it less now because I don’t understand why that happened and I have been working hard for my lots - which now have hit a plateau because even though I’m cashing out so many calories, I have to buy coins if I want to expand on my plots of land…

It’s ok

Nor really all that fun once you know how easy it is to get points to rank in the leaderboard. It should be calories not points that we should compete with. The fun dies in a day.

Genius

Fun little app that convinces me to get up and burn some calories? Amazing. I get lost in design like I’m playing the sims or animal crossing, but don’t sit on the couch or in bed all day and feel awful about it. Thanks, Breezer!

Horrible customer service

More like non existent, no website. I want to cancel the subscription I never used and get a refund and there’s nowhere to do this clearly.

Great game, don’t like the reset

I actually love this game, I play it everyday and makes me want to be more active. I really hate that my entire store got wiped this month tho, I was excited to add new things but I can’t because everything is now down to zero. It’s hard to enjoy the game knowing all the things I bought go to waste. Why would I buy (with real money) points/calories/gold just for it to disappear in the end. It really doesn’t make sense, I was just starting to get into it building a little apartment an everything. I’ve genuinely been more active because of this game just because I want my store to look cute but it kinda crushed my urge to continue when this month started.

cute and fun

i love the game it’s very relaxing and fun to customize your store. i wish the other shops like museum, electronics store, and restaurant hadn’t been removed to only be available with gold coins (which need to be bought with money just to have enough of). not to mention that since your store resets each month you’d need to keep spending if you want those specific shops. but with what’s free it’s still fun and i enjoy it.

I enjoy it but..

I actually really like the game. It’s cute fun and makes me want to walk to build out my stores. BUT biggest complaint is that the items we ā€œpurchase/unlockā€ with coins don’t come with us to the next month. It makes it expensive/hard and gives me less incentive to get any player-made items or limited item packs. Completely understand needing to earn the calories to place them again in the new month but to completely remove them from the inventory unless you ā€œpayā€ again makes it feel bad.

Thanks! If you buy 'infinite' then they're yours forever. In your case you must have just bought 1.

Pay to Win… Again

Pay real money to buy calories. Pay real money to have gold to buy the items. At the end of the month all the calories you burned are wiped out which is demotivating and you can’t reuse items from prior months on new builds unless you ā€œrefundā€ them from prior builds.

There should be an option to continue using your prior builds unless you for a new month / but of course if they do that the. how will they try to get you to pay real money to buy items and recoup your calories you had saved up from prior months?

In short - You can literally buy the top spot on the leaderboards.

This app is a cute idea but do NOT do what I did and buy a year worth of it just to realize it’s another cash-grab with faulty ā€œgameā€ mechanics. Give it a month or two minimum before deciding whether or not to do a long term subscription.
