Stopped Providing Child Observation Notifications

This app is ok but around 2 months ago it stopped providing observation notifications on my child - all other notifications come through. The nursery checked and nothing changed on their side, I’ve checked and nothing changed on my side in the app so we can’t resolve it and Famly is saying it’s my notification settings, which it is not. It is likely an app bug and I really would like it if they could investigate this.

Very poorly done

App is developed in some web framework and packaged as a mobile app, instead of native high quality app, which leads to app working poorly or in some cases not working.
Have to constantly re-login with full credentials, even though, PIN is setup.
Navigation around the app content is silly and inconvenient. Can not edit anything about your profile, everything is greyed out.
Can not download photos or video.
Logs you out very often.
All these issues are super easy to fix, but for some reason they are not being addressed.

Love getting the updates!

Yeah ok, login is annoying. But I don’t really care about that. Only thing I’d like to see updated is the possibility to only receive updates on certain days. My child only goes to nursery 2 days per week, I don’t need notifications on days when they’re not in

Not able to see photos when more kids tagged

It is a good app, but there could ba more improvements to it. I am an iPhone user and whenever there is more kids tagged on a photo you can only see a top of a picture, as a tagging banner is applied on top of a picture. Which makes challenging to see a full picture. Also you are not able to download a picture, I wish there was a feature where you can easily download it or save it to your phone.

Poorly designed, frustrating app.

Missing features: no Face ID, can’t download photos of my child, can’t set an expected pick up time past 3pm, staff can’t edit the description of any food served to my child to account for allergen swaps. BH account only allows one parent to see the nursery fees due, other parent has zero access to financials. Notifications do not seem to work properly.

Needs improvement

Lacking basic functionality- no Face ID, can’t save photos, push notifications do not seem to work.

Brilliant app

Excellent app perfect for checking on my child

No Face ID, can’t save photos, doesn’t support password managers

App starts a new session each time you open it, so you have to enter the password ALL THE TIME. Unless you set a pin to log in which allows to bypass the password form.

Furthermore, because it’s not a native app - when you use a password manager to fill in the credentials - it doesn’t really work because it’s essentially a webview, so the url that is passed to 1Password is localhost which obviously does not match the Bright Horizons website url, so you have to search for the login manually.

But probably the most annoying thing is that you cannot save the photos of your child. I understand there are some privacy concerns here, but at least allow downloading the photos in which your child is tagged.

Great app but staff do not use it!

The nursery staff do not use this app at all so not sure what the point is. Other nurseries (much cheaper ones too) are far better at updating parents.

Buggy

Latest update crashes/freezes. Deleting and reloading the app doesn't fix it and is frankly a pain in the butt. BH should request a refund from their tech supplier.

Mostly fine

The app pretty much does the job. Having to type the password in each time is frustrating - Face ID would make it better.

Another snag is it seems impossible to enter a pickup time after 6pm - annoying as we’d like to let the staff know when we’re going to be arriving later than usual.

Authentication failure

I have been trying my email address to login into the app but it is not working. So I tried resetting the password and it always shows that email has been sent, but it never arrived. It should have basic validation on the email address and it should check whether this email is registered or not . The reason is whenever I check with nursery, they have been told that my email address is registered already .

Love this app !

Can I just say I loved using this app when my daughter was in the nursery. I loved getting updates on her. It was amazing

Famly app but less

Used Famly app before. This app the same app just with Bright Horizons theme minus some functions and annoying limitations. It forgets your credentials every time you open it. At this age not supporting biometric login is unheard. You can’t like or comment posts unlike in Famly. Which kills the “social” part of the app. The wall is pretty much read only for parents.

Love this

We’ve had this for a week now and loving it, great to get notifications about our babies day.

Simple and straight forward

Been using this app for 2 weeks now. The success will be basically built on the nursery team using the channel well enough rather than this app. The design is clean and works well. Things that could be better are;
no Face ID
Options available that I shouldn’t see if I can’t change them such as my child health record
Assumption that it is either sickness or holiday as to why my child is not attending. Just give me one option with selections.
On setting a profile picture let me zoom or move once selected
