Could be so good
In Wales in spring 2026, and found few suitable options. Some closed, some small vans only, and some just sounded poor. Needs more content / sites to be of value (especially for £44 a year). Will not renewing.
Scam
Despite what they say it’s not possible to cancel your membership after the first year. I have contacted them via email also but they keep trying to take the new subscription. I’ve had to contact my bank to stop them. I’m not alone in this. Look at the reviews!!!
Parking overnight
I’m glad I joined Britstop. Cheaper than a campsite.
The Orange Tree Baldock
My first Brit Stop was very successful at the Orange Tree Baldock.
Rob was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the meal made from local produce, and was pleasantly surprised by how lively it was for a Sunday night, due to 70s music played with vinyl records.
It was very peaceful and I slept like a log.

Auto Renew catch
I was hoping that Brit Stops would have options in city centres for overnight stops but struggled to find anywhere suitable so it didn’t work for us. App usability to search for locations is also poor. After a year of not using any Brit Stop locations it auto renewed without any prior notice, which I did not appreciate. However, within a week of cancelling my membership I received a full refund. Credit to them for responding and refunding quickly. Not all auto renew app providers do this.

Auto Renew catch
Used it but struggled to find stops near city centres or places we visit. Then after a year it auto renewed - without any prior notice - costing £44. Poor practice. Have cancelled with 360 days of a 365 day service remaining. Will request a refund.

New to BritStop and campervan. Easy to use, great selection of stops. Good route planning features.
Britstops doesn’t stop
Never really used the service and was just curious. most stops appear to be just pubs, which often let you stay if you buy a meal. However, buyer beware of the autorenew con , which doesn’t stop, as Britstops keeps taking money even if you don’t use the app. the Cancel button is buried deep in the membership menu and doesn’t appear in the apple subscription tab on your phone like other services subscribed too. Worse still if you cancel a couple of days after the auto renew is dues you get another whole year of misery as they don’t off refunds. Very poor service. Avoid at all cost unless you want to give your money away for nothing!

Great and very useful app l
Fairly new to Britstops and have used it 3 times in the past month. No complaints.
Nothing special
It is just a regular app that shows pubs and attractions, missing alot of parking spots and comfortable overnight stays. You can easily get the same info on Google Maps.
Membership conditions are not up to date
If you cancel your membership, you will immediately lose access, regardless of whether the membership was purchased 21 days or 355 days ago.

I have been a member of Brit Stops for 18 months and have eventually got around to using the App.
Absolutely first class - easy to use and large number of participating hosts. Now on night 4 of my trip and every interaction and over-night experience has been enjoyable and hassle-free.

Good when it works !
You pay for this app, it works intermittent! fails to work at the most important time when you need it on the road looking for places to stay. I’ve removed it, reloaded it again logged in and out etc, would prefer a refund !
