Missing important details
Sadly, it is missing size/wingspan which, at times, would greatly help identification. The pictures give no indication of (comparative) size, with each picture being the same size. Identifying similar looking species is actually quite difficult, with the organisation of this guide. As others have remarked, this is essentially a paper book.
The compare feature is useful, but limited. As others have suggested, the option of being able to filter by current location would be very useful. As would being able to filter/rank possibilities by time of year.
It is a bit frustrating having scroll through all the pictures to be able to access the distribution info, lifecycle/year info and the description text. The description text is generally very informative, but, as previously mentioned, missing vital details such as size. It would be better if this could be accessed directly at any time by use of a button. On an iPad, at least, there is a large amount of empty space which could be used to show the distribution and lifecycle details.
Also, most features appear to be given over to over-plugging of the corresponding Moths app, especially the 'view this species in the Moths app'; which is particularly annoying since it doesn't appear that any butterflies are in the Moths app!

If it ain't broke why fix it??
Disappointed with this update - a-z doesn't work well anymore and detailed flight time graphs aren't there as far as I can see. Also screen obviously not catering for older iPhones. Can we have the old version back please ???
Disappointing
Used to like the older version. I find this version annoying. The pictures are so small, identifying an unknown butterfly nigh on impossible. Thus and the price has put me off from buying the Moth guide.
Appalling navigation
Navigation is a list of butterflies by name with a tiny image (1cm x 1cm max).
Also, no search facility other than typing in name.
Worth a couple of quid in its current form.
