NO RF FOR MATTER

You cannot program RF devices for specific appliances! So if you program a custom RF device it won’t appear in HomeKit. What a shame.

Dark mode support?

Why can’t I have the option to use dark or light mode?

Works but……

While the BroadLink RM Max works fairly flawlessly with configured IR or RF devices but the interface is not great at all on the Magic Home app.

You can’t updated learned buttons on devices. You can’t seem to create more than 14 smart scenes.

The product and app is moderately useful but it doesn’t live up to the marketing claims.

I’ve reached out to BroadLink support but they aren’t very responsive.

I’ll be investing other solutions unless I can get proper resolution to my problems.

Roller Shade Remote

I was worried this would not work but it does. I thought the set up was easy considering the complexity of the task at hand. It worked for me right out of the box. It supports timed scenes including sunrise/sunset. Alexa integration is automatic.

Can’t Create Account

I like the layout of the app, but for some reason, the app won’t recognize my email address when I try to create an account.

Now useless.

Bought them over a year ago and worked really well with Alexa.
After the App was updated they are now useless as they don’t connect to Alexa anymore.
How can a good firm move backwards by updating something?
Total waste of money. Such a shame.

Skill

I can’t connect using the Amazon Alexa skill. BroadLink lets me use it but BroadLink magic home doesn’t.

Response from developer

Thanks for your interest in BroadLink! If you bought the Ble devices for voice control, then you also need to add a GW4C hub to help them link to Alexa/Google Home skills. Because both of them need that period of code from the hub to get permission.

Lights unable to be automated whatsoever

It connects to the light bulbs, but that’s about it. Without a gateway you won’t be able to automate the schedules like wiz. No shortcuts support either

Difficult to understand set up process

The instructions are convoluted and hard to follow.I was only able to get two lights bulbs connected. Extremely clunky process.

QR Code Scan does not work.

Unusable

Disappointed

I purchased a starter kit coming up to a year ago and it’s still in a box. No alexa device / routine integration makes this pretty pointless which is why I purchased this.

Me saca del app

Instale un sensor de movimiento de radar y después de eso el app se cierra no puedo hacer que funcione

Response from developer

Hi Customer, Thanks for your feedback! You need to keep the Phone Bluetooth opening each time and have a GW4C under your account.

Unable to trigger alexa routines

Unable to trigger Alexa routines which is the only reason most people would use this for.

Good Prospects

The app is ok and I was super impressed by the physical items and ease of set up. However the app itself is somewhat basic. It’s ok, but like the other reviewer stated, there are some logical updates that would massively improve the usability. Also the UI element of the app could be a little more intuitive. For example I haven’t figured out how to adjust two bulbs to be exactly the same rgb etc. maybe adding a number scale would help instead of just sliders? Or perhaps make it easier to copy settings from one bulb to another? Or maybe allow in scenes to aghast a “group” of bulbs? Maybe it’s in there but I haven’t figured out how. 😊

Needs more.

Needs more functionality for the switch. You should be able to use the same switch to toggle the light on and off rather then using 2 switches. The lights also need to remember the state they were last in. I’m looking forward to updates and improvements.
