Stopped working
MFC-L3770CDW Have printed with my iPad & iPhone for years. All of a sudden it just stopped working, no message. Nothing. Can’t even find a print queue on this toddleresque app to see if the print button works, job stuck in queue, whatever. WTHeck. My laptop still prints though. PIA

Not compatible with HL-3040CN, no brother app is compatible with my printer, I see older models that are compatible but not this one.
Doesn’t Work anymore
Won’t find my printer anymore. Done with Brother Products. The interface looks like it came out of the 90s
Terrible
Brother’s apps now seem to exist only to cram subscriptions down your throat. They might still technically have basic functionality, but it seems like every single action produces a browser pop-up: “Log into your Brother account!” “Pay a monthly fee to use the printer you bought!” “You haven’t subscribed yet; tap here to get started!” “Tap here for mere information about subscriptions!” It was infuriating!!!!
I absolutely did *not* let this app install a firmware update that it “strongly recommended.” For all I know, it could lock me out of my five year old printer unless I subscribe to it, like you-know-hew(lett) did.
Seriously, this app was worse than a free-to-play game with unskippable video ads and IAPs. Avoid.

Outdated app….it just opens browser windows.
This app essentially useless and totally outdated — it doesn’t seem to do much of anything itself. Instead, after linking my printer to it, whenever I tried requesting a feature (e.g., checking the printer status, print history, toner remaining, etc.) the app doesn’t do anything itself….it just opens a browser window within the app and tries to do what I asked the app to do via the browser window (but 99 times out of 100, the browser window won’t actually connect to my printer!). If I wanted to check my printer via a series of browsers windows, I wouldn’t need a dedicated printer app from the manufacturer.
Come on Brother - it’s 2026, yet this app seems like it’s 15-20 years old in terms of its design and functionality. It should be scrapped completely and replaced with a modern version (BTW, yes, Brother does have modern apps that work fine with SOME printers, but not all of them…. when I used one of the other modern apps with my 2 printers, only one of my printers (the B&W model) was compatible with the other app (even though that printer is many years older than my color printer). My color printer would not work with the modern app, and that other app told me that I needed to download and use this horrible app instead. How dumb.

update ruined connection
Since recent update, AirPrint not working making printer useless
Worked for 10+ years
Until the May 2026 update. Now my printer has disappeared from my network and cannot be located on this or any other app.

Froze Iphone
I just had a paper jam error notification that I couldn’t close and it wouldn’t allow me to shut down my Iphone holding the side buttons. I had to get Siri to shut down my phone to get around the error message.
Missing half the functionality of the PC app
Basic functionality like selecting scan resolution is not available in the app. Nice features of the PC app like workflows and scan to Google Drive are also unavailable. Waste of time to use the mobile app even if more convenient than PC
German Paper size
When trying to print from any mobile printer only allows German Legal Fanfold when in reality it has US Letter. I have tried everything in my iphone and in the app.
Terrible customer service
The mobile connect app now requires the newest iphone. The print and scan app does support my older model iphone but just redirects to the mobile connect app. Now I can no longer use my printer that bought less than a year ago.
Connecting Printer
Terrible app. Would not ever connect printer to phone. Just kept doing the same thing over and over.
Frustrating
It’s impossible to connect the printer to my laptop with Bluetooth Wi-Fi or USB port. I plan to call brothers and see if they can help which I doubt.
Couldn’t connect to the printer on Wifi n/w
Used to be a pretty good app. Stopped working all of a sudden. It couldn’t find the printer on the same wifi network. iPhone finds the printer for printing but the app cannot. Not able to use the scanner anymore from phone. App became useless.
App is severely limited
I will not be buying anther Brother printer because of the limitations with this app.

③サイズ変更をデータごとに1つ1つしなくてはならない。1回設定したらそのままのサイズにするとか、一定時間同じサイズに自動選択とかしてほしい！そしてサイズ選択して元の画面に戻るにも手間がある。戻る時の遷移アニメーション時間の無駄なので、やめてほしいー！そこにデザイン求めてないです！印刷画面に表示してくれるとなお良いです。

Limited
Scans fine. Prints whole documents fine. Awful for pictures. Cannot control how large the photo will be. Try to print a 5x7 photo on a 8x11 sheet of paper, say a shipping label. Nope. It’ll print over the whole sheet. One massive picture whether you like it or not. Not any worse than the iPhone print app tho.

Please fix
This app used to work beautifully! I’m missing it as I am now unable to print and assuming the later IOS update was the cause as I had little issue before the update and have been using this printer and app for 7 years.
Yes,all devises are connected to the same WiFi as the printer. IOS version 26.2.1 is the update that resulted in being unable to print. I hope Brothers comes up with a solution.
