Great to use from an admin perspective! Easy to upload photos and keep important updates and resources constantly available to parents.

This app is amazing since my parents write me letters at camp and I get to see what they wrote me.
Camp fun
I love being able to see my kids having a great time while they are away. Also being able to send a message to them while they are away and remark on the things you are seeing through the pictures. It’s like being a fly in the wall but also not disturbing their fun. Thanks for creating such a neat app.

Garbage
9 times out of 10 I can’t view any of the albums that the camp has posted despite getting a notification that should open the album. The gallery doesn’t work most of the time. You have to buy credits to send a message to your camper and the minimum you can buy is ten credits. Not just a rip off but is ethically not cool. Kids should have equitable access to communication from loved ones

Pretty useful App
Love this so much a lot. I was able to see pics of my daughter through the facial recognition technology and send mail to her and now receive mail from her as well. It's a user friendly app and with the update it's easier to find what I'm looking for in one area.
Very thankful for the tools to help parents and loved ones see what's going on with their family members each day without having to be there. Awesome!!

What a rip-off!
The app promises a lot of features that don’t actually work. Maybe my daughters’ camp just doesn’t use those features. I don’t know. All I know is that I spent $30 to send my daughters 6 messages. Maybe a 7th will get through. Again, I don’t know. I was never informed of a cut-off for sending messages but when I tried to send one at 7:03am a message popped up that Bunk1 messaging ended at 7am today even though my daughters’ camp continues until tomorrow at noon. I’m annoyed because I still had a dozen credits left. My Bunk1 also had no newsletters and no pictures were ever posted. The promise of pictures and updates were the whole reason I signed up. And the preview material makes it sound like campers will be able to write you back but that was not really an option either for my campers. Overall a frustrating experience - the app took entirely too long to download and had an exorbitant cost for the amount of communication actually facilitated.

So buggy
This app is so frustratingly buggy. Practically every time I do anything I have to restart the app to get it to work. Sometimes the photo albums are blank, sometimes the photos are blank when you swipe through them and you have to tap the “share” icon to get them to appear (then close the share dialog that opened when you did it), sometimes you can’t get back to the main album screen at all, the back button just flops between the welcome screen and the album you clicked into. needs lots of debugging.

Wonderful way to keep in touch and see what’s going on, but a lot of bug
I love being able to see pictures of my children every day, and send and receive letters easily. That part is absolutely fantastic. However, I keep getting random alerts about photos that were posted days ago. And the face recognition stopped working after a few days, so I have to look through literally 100s of pictures to see if there are any of my children.

I like the app as it allows me to send messages and alcohol I can see pictures with my child.
Great app
Absolutely love using Bunk1 while my kid is at camp. The face recognition pulls up just their pictures. And the bunk replies with the borders and sudoku are her favorite.

Good for connection
Bunk1 has been really meaningful for us, helping us stay connected with our son while he’s away. The notes are easy to navigate, write, and send. The photo recognition technology has been spot on, allowing us to stay current with his experiences.

It’s okay, some suggestions!
Not particularly intuitive and photos hard to maximize. Glitchy. User experience for parents could be smoother and less confusing/clunky, for sure. Photo recognition is on point. Suggestions: provide an option for parents to upload scans of handwritten letters. Make it easier to view things like photos and the bunk reply templates. If a parent has issues with a scan, make it easier to resolve vs directing people to contact the camp (feels disjointed). Allow families to combine accounts vs having multiple paying accounts in one household.

Need to add some functionality from the Home Screen. Need to be able to navigate between key areas
Need to be able to navigate between key areas of the app without hitting the three bars up in the left corner, need to make it more intuitive and user-friendly. Also, need to be able to add another kid from the app. I have another kid going to camp this week and I cannot add a second camper.
Frustrating
The app looks promising but then it gets bogged down and crashes. This might be an issue with the camp uploading large numbers of photos without removing duplicates or almost duplicates. An automated tool could be applied to strip out duplicates and then perhaps my phone will stop crashing when I try to scroll through the absurd number of uploaded photos. The bunk notes are nice but there is no communication back from campers so it falls flat.

This is a great app to be able to communicate or send a message to your camper and pictures, but with fascinates me as the app has never been updated ever it has the same borders on a bunk note that’s been there for I don’t know five years. It doesn’t allow you to send any emojis or anything else just writing and now you can put pictures but that it, but it is never been updated at all. It’s the same app year after year.

Seriously bad
No idea how we put people on the moon but we use this app for space camp. app is seriously deficient in many areas. First of all, if you have a camper in multiple camps that use bunk1 good luck logging them in to different ones. Instructions are useless and WTH is “Jared’s camp”???Also, website or app is unable to modify campers, delete campers, if you make a mistake it still adds the mistake as a “camper”. At the moment I have random kids and information under my account that I have no idea how it relates to me. most screens you click on are just blank, no chat for support, not intuitive, just hard to work and manage in this app. I hate it that we are forced to use it. Yikes.

Summer Camp
This was my sons first time at summer camp (CGS) and this app was so helpful to keep in touch with my son with bunk notes and to see photos of all the fun things he was doing. I love all of the features of this app.
Didn’t work
I reached out 5 plus times to get help with the app. The pictures wouldn’t show up and when clicked on would be a white or black blank screen. The gallery didn’t work either. If I clicked on night events the program would just shut down. I couldn’t look at the facial recognition pics cause they wouldn’t show up on my phone with out lots of navigation.
