Too many bugs!
Constant bugs , not reliable, my subscription expired , on the same day it expired i go to renew it and it ripped me off i couldnt use the new subscription, and customer service is non existant, you can only talk to AI which does nothing to help. I prefer using Pinger plus you can use it for free!

I’ll never use this app again. I was charged although I cancelled the subscription before the free trial ended.. basically the same day. Stick to the free apps such as TextNow, not this one.

Shouldn’t Have to Wonder If Messages Are Missing
I wanted to share my experience because it hasn’t matched the app’s high ratings.
The app worked fine for about a week, but then messages started failing to send without warning. Someone I had been talking to through the app reached out to me, which is how I realized my messages had not been going through. I replied successfully, but the very next message failed again. My biggest concern is that I have no way of knowing whether this only affects sending or if I’m also intermittently missing incoming messages from other people. That uncertainty is a serious problem for a messaging app.
I tried reporting the bug, but support is limited to an AI assistant unless you submit a support request. The AI asked for diagnostic information, but due to a bug in the iOS app, I couldn’t paste text into either the AI chat or the support form. Tapping the text field simply dismissed the keyboard instead of showing the paste menu. After submitting the request manually, I received an email with a blank subject line that only said “RE:”.
This is a privacy focused messaging app, so technical competence matters. If basic functionality and the support experience have this many issues, it makes me question whether I can trust the service with something as important as my privacy and data security. If these issues are resolved, I’ll gladly update this review, but based on my experience so far, I can’t recommend the app.

SCAM APP!
Offering free trails then when you try to claim it, they try to take your money. It says “no payment now. start free trail.” Then when you do claim it, they try to charge you full charge. I immediately deleted the app. Luckily my card was LOCKED.

I simply wanted to see how this one worked and the features compared to another ones I once I cancelled the trial I was charged… couldn’t even sign in to the acc after I deleted app smh
Why download if it does not let you get a verification message without paid subscription?

Great experience so far
I’ve been using Burner for a few years just as a burner number but kept the same phone number for years but this year I have actually been using a spare business number to isolate call and texts from my regular phone numbers.
It has served it’s purpose well. I can make and receive phone calls as well as texts.
It’s definitely a good inexpensive alternative to have two phone numbers through my cell number carrier.

Don’t do free trial
I did like this app quite a lot until it charged me for a subscription to a free trial that i had cancelled right after subscribing to it, almost a week later and now its causing disruptions to my whole phone !!
App is Broken
There is no way to contact anyone. And the ai generated help page is worthless. I have paid for the service, used it for over a year, renewed even. And the app wont go past the login. Would be super if someone would get back to me.
Stole $16.99 from me and lied
Do not use this app they will say you have a trial but as soon as you download the app, they will cancel the trial and charge you automatically. I use this app for like 15 minutes and didn’t like that user interface so I deleted it off my phone the next day I can’t download apps because all of a sudden they charged me $16.99

Glitchy, slow, and lacks functionality
Not a fan so far. If you’re using this for online dating privacy/screening, be aware that it has no reaction function, which is standard on both iPhone and Android. It’s also incredibly, frustratingly slow. This is the only app I have where it takes several seconds to register typed characters. Dictation is a little better, but frankly if this doesn’t resolve, I’ll ditch it and move to Sideline.

Keeps billing after cancellation
The app “works,” but after we burned the two numbers we had, we kept being billed for months more. Impossible to resolve because Apple simply blames the developer - and the developer says they cannot issue refunds, only Apple can.

Amazing service
I needed to respond to a text from my builder after closing, but didn’t want him to have my new phone number. This app worked perfectly. Simple, intuitive layout, and they even let you pick from a variety of local area codes. 5/5
Scam cancellation
I didn’t want this subscription and never did y’all’s FREE APP WOULD LET ME CONTINUE WITH OUT A FREE TRIAL WHEN. I seen it was a yearly and 100$ I instantly cancelled but still being charged I want my money and would let to stop being charged for something I never intended on using

The app slows my whole phone down, messages take forever to be delivered
Rip off
I purchased $20 worth of credit credits I did not receive my credit. They will not reply. and when they decided to reply, they said to reach out to Apple support, and Apple support is about as useless as the Burner support.
