Bricked my device
I paid for a Butterfly IQ which I have used for simple probes over the years. Now they have forced the device to be nonfunctional by excluding it from this app. Butterfly devices are designed to become worthless after a few years. At least conventional ultrasounds keep working for years. Investing in Butterfly is a complete waste of money if you want to legitimately own and use the device you paid for. Their business model is built around you renting it from them while they pretend you actually own it. They decide when and how you can use the app, which means they decide when and how you can use the hardware. One word to describe their business model: scam.

Subscription model scam
Why is everything subscription now?? If you are running your own business this is now a paperweight without upgrading!!
If someone else is paying you bills this is a great device, I guess they knew what they were doing before they went IPO. This is a quick revenue generator model for short term investors at an expense of clinicians. I am switching to a different device without subscription.
