Enjoyable until it’s political
I have used BuzzFeed for years. I love the articles, the quizzes, the shopping recommendations (alot of my amazon purchases come from the shopping articles), etc. It has gotten to a point now though, where every article or story has some political commentary (sometimes it’s not even needed). I get there is a lot going on politically and there is a lot to discuss, but we don’t need to keep giving spotlight on Trump, please. If it’s an article about politics, that’s fine, but I don’t need a political reference when I am looking at recommendations for shoes.

Booty nana app
This app is so nuts and it always lags when im trying to do a gyat dang quiz. Get the makers of this banned immediately. Buzzfeed more like booty feed.
Daily quiz
There are pop up ads that block the next button and have tried everything to fix. This is frustrating and ridiculous .
No news. Only capitalism.
Two BuzzFeed originals followed by endless product promotions. Make your money BuzzFeed. Smh.

Has gone way downhill
I used to use this app addictively. The first sign it was slipping was when the same images started being used for every article (SO sick of that one woman’s leg up crotch shot…). But now the content is 50% quizzes, 40% lists of things for you to buy (for which they get kickbacks), and the rest titled along the lines of “people are saying…”. Do buzzfeed journalists even write their own content anymore? Not to mention the ad pop ups now on every article! I’m close to deleting this and falling back on Reddit or something that actually has content for me to read.

Love the daily games but the ads keep popping up over the games so can’t play them. It’s been getting worse with every update and no way to close to ads making it impossible to play
Stealing art and selling to AI
Stole the creation of a former employee and uploaded it to AI. No integrity for its employees or their work.
Way too much on the screen
Really need to pare down the content. It's overwhelming on the app and makes me not want to use it.
Changed for the worse
I used to do quizzes on the app every night before bed as a way to wind down (I have ADHD/insomnia and I get anxious about sleep). However they’ve changed it recently so instead of the usual inane quizzes and trivia, it’s now pushing rubbish Wordle-style games. And they took away the infinite scroll so you can hardly browse for quizzes at all. A pointless update that’s made me delete the app. Bye bye BuzzFeed x

No more actual editorial pieces
All that’s in my news today feeds are lists of things to buy. Have we run out of catchy lists and scary stories or lists of crazy facts. Essentially all BuzzFeed has now is Ads. All of that should be under the shop button.
My review
Too many quizzes and shoppings for me. Now there’s an ad that pops up when you actually find something to read and it’s really annoying. One thing I’ve noticed, that has nothing to do with this, is on the shopping posts there’s this Vampire Exfoliant thing that been posted for years. I don’t think it sells that good if they’re still trying to get rid of it. Maybe it does work and that’s why it’s ALWAYS there but I’ve never seen it at someone’s house or ever been talked about. Doesn’t seem like anyone wants it. Again that has nothing to do with anything though, just my thoughts.

Crashes my phone
All the ads make it lag and it overheats my iPhone
So buggy, so glitchy, so sad
Remember old Buzzfeed? When it was entertaining? Before they lost their soul? Anyway that’s not the point here. This app is a no for me. Freezes, glitches, blanks out randomly halfway through an article, basically all the same things their website does. They tell you to do the same thing they’re going to do when they reply to this review… contact support and they’ll walk you through resolution! Super helpful :) Support acts as if it’s the first time they’ve ever heard of these issues even though we’ve all just been living with it for years now. They ask you to refresh cookies and cache, reset your phone, uninstall and reinstall the app, the whole deal. Poor Buzzfeed.

Buggy for no reason?
I’ve been a buzzfeed fan since like 2014, but for the last couple years it has been so buggy, freezing and glitching out, blanking when I’m halfway through an article, and it seems like they just aren’t supporting it anymore? Such a waste of time
i used to love buzzfeed…
buzzfeed is an app that i have not only used longer than basically every other one but in my mind used to rank far superior to all others. it used to be filled with unique, thought provoking, educational content. i would constantly send my friends the articles and it was a multiple times a day checked app for me. i used to scroll it every night before bed. for months and probably more than a year now i have laid down in bed to scroll buzzfeed and within minutes i am closing the app. i have never in my entire life seen more gross consumerism than what fills the feed these days. every single post is about purchasing something. and no im not in the shopping tab. its absurd. you used to be a rare gemstone among the masses. and now sadly i cant stand you. i dont need 75+ shopping articles with a different title but the same items. it’s gross and frankly boring and lame. people can’t afford gas or groceries we don’t need links to buyout amazon. i expected more of you. you were capable of more. be better buzzfeed. you sold out and it sucks. a long time lover turned hater.

Used to be for entertainment
I used to really enjoy BuzzFeed. They would post some news but you had to realize to take their reporting with a grain of salt. I enjoyed their listicals, quizzes, celebrity news, shopping tips. Now every post is so political. They have moved away from entertainment and moved to one sided “news stories”. I know I’m not their target audience, but I still enjoyed their site and would scroll past the political posts, now it seems to be 90% political and maybe 10% entertainment on a good day. Christian republicans need to stay away. I don’t mind a little one sided stories, but it is to the point now of aggression.

Lil Snack is ruined/who wants to pay for Buzzfeed?!
Lil Snack has a different format now. No community, no prizes. Scattergories and Wheel of Fortune are gone. Just 4 mid games every day. Plus, every other quiz I click on asks me to subscribe to take it. Not when it used to be, but what should I expect from a big company in 2026?
