😢

Was super excited to gain weight and not be skinny anymore then found out it's a subscription thing 😢

Faiblesse français

Difficile de rechercher des aliments en français

Subscription

Horrible, why you want me to spend $29.99 on monthly per year? I thought this app was free but no you have audacity add more payments. Terrible 0/10. I do not want to spend that money just for a year, absolutely horrible deal ever.

Analyzing food stuck at 6% forever

Uploaded photo but the progress stuck at 6%. Took so long too to get 6% too. Def can't use something annoying daily.

Terrible app

Do not get the paid version, it’s very inaccurate

Ai is terrible and doesn’t learn

Your ai on photo scan is terrible and doesn’t learn and I have to constantly modify and sometimes doesn’t update when manually entered

Needs work

Really need to work on the tools to manage your saved foods. Would like to have a tool to group items into a meal easily. Need to be able to sort and delete. You also should be able to manage your food database without activating the select function. Also found the analysis/charts practically useless. Burn numbers are all wrong

A lot easier than other apps

Gave me more leeway and realistic weight loss and does good at scanning the goods

Wild estimates ! Loads of friction

This is supposed to be a next generation calorie tracker but so far it’s been kinda bunk. It estimated a chocolate cookie at 1650 cal. Holy schmokes!!!!

Super useful and Affordable

I’ve used another Calorie tracking app in the past that essentially has more features, but it was too expensive for me at the time, so I found Cal AI and found out that this app essentially had everything that I needed and actively used on a daily basis, and does an incredible job with calculating food that doesn’t necessarily have a name or isn’t logged into the food database. I love this app and it’s genuinely so helpful and affordable for meeting my calorie goals :)

Misleading Ad Support

Yet another app that implies Ad supported (clearly shows the blue Ad icon on the app in the Apple Store search results) and gets you with a subscription at the very end of the lengthy setup process. Deleted immediately and that is unfortunate as it looked promising.

Hidden paywall

Forces you to provide all health details to show subscription screen without any option to skip

If you’re not looking to lose weight, this app sucks

I’m trying to lean bulk using this app, and so I prompted to gain 10 lbs in 3 months, I currently weigh 110. It told me to eat 2800 calories a day and nearly 200 grams of protein and would not let me change it.

An okay guide, very inconsistent accuracy

If you don’t question the results and just roll with it, then it sounds fine. Both my wife and I use it and we find the accuracy to extremely unreliable. A home made chicken nugget which we measured to have 2g of fat and 50 calories can be scanned to have anywhere from 3-8g of fat with 30-80 calories each time we take a picture. The app stresses good light - which we have emphasized but it is still very unreliable. It’s okay for tracking but you spend much more time cross checking the details.

We tried MacroFactor and compared to this it is far far better. It’s cheaper but a garbage product.

One problem

Love this app and have switched to it from another calorie tracker. One problem I’ve found is that when searching the database to log a food, like an item from Starbucks, the search is very touchy and you have to type the item word for word according to how it’s entered in the database. Almost like it doesn’t recognize keywords. If I type “Starbucks cold brew” all items matching that phrase (even in a different order) should appear. Would make things much easier :)

Calai

Best app now I know what calories my food has

Intentional

This app definitely holds me accountable! I love it

Food history only stored for one month

I chose an annual plan for 30£ per year. However the history of food logs available is only starting from previous month.
This is very disappointing I can’t see older food logs.

Poor customer service

I’ve been using this app without missing a day for 240 days, went camping, had no service, but still took photos of my food. When I got service a few days later everything was deleted and gone. The app Didn’t keep it there to upload later.
When I contacted customer service, I’m pretty sure I was emailing a bot, at least that’s what it felt like. No concern for the issue. Told me I need to pay money to restore my streak and add the food in. Not sure if there are better apps out there but don’t expect good customer service if you have issues. Subscription canceled.
