Wish I could share a plate
Both my wife and I decided to use the app and love it. The hourly tracking is great and the weekly check-in is genius. It’s nice to know that the calories/nutrients allotted is based off your daily weigh-in’s and the composition of what you eat the previous week.
I only wish I could share a plate with my wife and not just recipes as we often have the same meals. Currently we both have to search for every individual ingredients which can be a little frustrating and time consuming. Hopefully this is a feature that can be added in the near future.

Too easy
This is my latest of many attempts to track my food and TDEE to lose weight. It is so much easier and quicker to log that I feel for the first time that it’s sustainable in the long term. Great job on this app and excellent UX.
easy to use
Ever since embarking on my weight loss journey, I keep coming back to MacroFactor. The AI photo feature is the best!
Confusing
Seems like it’s way more complicated than it needs to be. I understand that you’re trying to par every single unit, but it doesn’t make it easy from the user perspective. I am not gonna stick with it. It seems un intuitive.
Why are calories set so low
Not sure about this app for woman. It sets calories obscenely low and doesn’t seem capable of accounting for hormonal fluctuations. I guess this is only good for men because if you’re a woman it’ll just keep reducing your target calories every week. Pretty dangerous if you’re not smart enough to know not to accept its calorie targets. Doesn’t really have much utility beyond calorie counting and there are tonnes of other (free) ways to do that.
