Too easy

This is my latest of many attempts to track my food and TDEE to lose weight. It is so much easier and quicker to log that I feel for the first time that it’s sustainable in the long term. Great job on this app and excellent UX.

easy to use

Ever since embarking on my weight loss journey, I keep coming back to MacroFactor. The AI photo feature is the best!

Confusing

Seems like it’s way more complicated than it needs to be. I understand that you’re trying to par every single unit, but it doesn’t make it easy from the user perspective. I am not gonna stick with it. It seems un intuitive.

Why are calories set so low

Not sure about this app for woman. It sets calories obscenely low and doesn’t seem capable of accounting for hormonal fluctuations. I guess this is only good for men because if you’re a woman it’ll just keep reducing your target calories every week. Pretty dangerous if you’re not smart enough to know not to accept its calorie targets. Doesn’t really have much utility beyond calorie counting and there are tonnes of other (free) ways to do that.

Fix your app

Data stop being integrated from Health app, i have to un-share and share several times to get it to pull data and sometimes that does even work. I have to manually input data. $70 a year for a broke app, what else is broke that we don’t know about, is the diet recommendations even accurate?

Best Tool for your Nutrition Goal

Recommend it everyone who wants to lose fat and bills muscle - save yourself the headache and use MacroFactor!

DO NOT USE IT

You literally write “cooked rice” and it calculates as raw rice’s calorie 🤡

Abandonware

Not only have they moved on to other apps to exploit subscription services but they have started locking down the app more and more so that my own ai agents cant access my data. So what did i do? I exported all my data manually, reproduced their algorithms, and let my AI handle things going forward. I would have been happy to keep using the app for data entry and charts but now that it is clear that you’re not only refusing to improve the app but now you’re trying to lock in users even more, this is no longer a nice and friendly service. It is hostile to users. A good run, but your proprietary algo and nice charts is no excuse for neglecting the app and locking in at over $100 a year for.

Pretty good

It's good so far

Number 1 App

So detailed, a bit more advanced in how you use it but once you get used to the app depth, it’s pretty much the best app around. I’d say even better than MyFitness Pal because of the detailed features

Awesome

Never been easier to adapt to my diet or track it really has helped me lock in and get the results I want

Best Apple Watch Calorie tracker

Macrofactor is by far the most functional and easiest calorie tracker on the apple watch. I use my cellular apple watch as a standalone phone replacement, so I needed a calorie tracker apple watch app that provides all of the ability to enter and review information without being tethered to the iPhone.

I tried the apps for myfitnesspal, loseit, cronomoter, and mynetdiary, and macro factor is the only one that is remotely useable standalone. Most of them only let you add your saved recipes/meals you have manually added on your phone. In comparison to the other options, with macro factor you can also voice search their huge library of meals, describe a meal for an ai created entry, re-add previous entries, edit previous entries, add weight, and track your weight/calorie/nutrient history, all from your watch alone.

Even for people who do not use their watch standalone from their iPhone, the quickness and ease of adding from the watch as opposed to taking out your phone makes calorie tracking significantly easier and more natural. Very well designed app, and their support of the apple watch app is the primary reason I continue as a customer.

Amazing

The weight trend and energy expenditure features are so helpful. This is a really smart app that’s easy to use. I love it!

Will change your life

Not hype! Literally changed th way I eat and how I think about food. It’s all about the numbers.
It’s not perfect, but the AI that looks at a pic of your food and fills in the data is amazingly good.

I like it but it’s complicated

I wish it were easier to use like My Fitness Pal. I like this tracker a lot but I notice it does not have a lot of basic foods that MFP has and the goal feature is a bit onerous. Why can I not have all 7 days be the same? Why do I have to manually do each day? I wish the app would get some updates and more foods so I don’t have to manually enter so much

Fantastic

I started using MacroFactor on June 9. I’m down 15 pounds as of July 29. I use the AI feature a ton and it’s pretty awesome overall. There are some issues with it recognizing food but it’s rare. I’m going to continue using it until I get to my goal and even then I might consider keeping it just to stay at that weight.

Lost 40 lbs and kept most of it off

I’m not very active and have a slow metabolism. This is by far the best calorie tracking app I have used and I have used it for years. I owe it 40 lbs of weight loss.

10/10 Would Buy Again

I have used the app daily for many months and it’s been great and easy to use. I have no bugs with the app and it is really intuitive to use for myself so I commend the developers/designers for the UI/UX form factor of the app. The app does exactly what it says it does 10/10 would recommend!

Incredible UI, backed by real science, and incredible customer support

I’ve been using macrofactor for a year now and it’s the best. UI is smooth, intuitive, and organized very well, everything is very well personalized, and the customer support is the greatest support team I have seen from any company thus far. As easy as possible to access and an agent has always gotten back to me very quick.

Best app in class

Prefer to pay for a quality app rather than pay for a “free” version filled with ads, etc.
