AMAZING but glitchy
I was just tryna put in a doctors appointment in on Monday then while I’m at work. I see it pop up when it’s Wednesday! Nothing I put in is in the right place, Like what else am I supposed to do it doesn’t even work.
Update: Repeating Event Icon📅??
Latest update added a Repeating Events Icon to iCal (can’t be turned off). This makes zero sense. U already have no space to describe an event in iCal. U can fit 3 or 4 characters, but now w/ the ‘Repeat Icon’, u only fit 2 . So “📅Vet” is now“Repeat Icon 📅Ve”
Clearly, Apple thinks we’re too stupid to remember a Repeat Event, so they need to do it for us…but then, I do only have 100s of icons to do myself.
New feature, yet it only took seconds to find the question “How to remove Repeat Event Icon in iCal” in the 🍎 Community pages, & 100s of users already had the same question!

THERE IS AN ANNOYING GLITCH
Please fix the annoying glitch with the red checkmark button that allows you to save the users they want to include in an event. The app freezes and crashes, forcing you to come back later to reenter ALL THE INFORMATION AGAIN! It’s annoying after the fourth attempt.
Great Calendar
This is the best calendar I have come across, & like that it now offers more alerts since update. I do wish however, there were more options for week alerts (2 wks, 4 wks).
Love it
My only complaint currently is I wish I could list one item with multiple color codes. Both my kids have swim lessons at the same time but I have to have it in there twice, once in green for my son, once in pink for my daughter. I wish I could have it in there once with both green and pink.
Absolutely rubbish
No alerts or sound/ notification for calendar events, appointments or reminders etc despite being turn on in settings.
Calendar event widgets don’t work or mirror events in the calendar app either just blank.
iOS 27 still hasn’t fixed these issues. Completely unreliable.

DELETES everything.
Removed every single event I ever put in my calendar from year and years. Deleted everything randomly and not only did it happen once but twice after I tried to re put everything in a week after I re-added, it deleted everything again. Terrible. Unreliable. And no way to get anything back even through settings and MacBook.

Editing events is now WAY more tedious
When I tap edit for an event, now with iOS 27, I have to tap the time as well, after, to bring up the option to change the time. Why does it require more taps now? If you have X amount of events you need to edit, your taps are now doubled just because of this stupid change.

This newest update is horrible. Piece of garbage.
I Wish It Could Open ICS File Types
On a Mac you can open an event.ics file and you are easily able to then save a meeting / event to your calendar. Try to do this on IOS (iPhone) and there is no support for it. I can share, copy and open it in many applications but not Calendar seems like a massive oversight. Otherwise this would get five stars from me.

Reminders is better
My alerts I get from my calendar app get lost in my notifications. I hate this app and do not recommend it to people with urgent matters, as clearly this app is not made for important reminders.
Poor Holiday Recognition
I am disappointed that the calendar does not recognize Patriot Day, yet does Rosh Hashanah.
I selected US Holidays. Surely 9/11 should be on there if a religious holiday is noted.

Every time my iPhone updates, I lose my entire calendar. Can’t recommend.

Can’t turn off Jewish holidays
I’m not Jewish, but for some reason I can’t turn off Jewish holidays, and in the calendar app it seems like there’s a new one every other week. And on my widget, it prioritizes showing me Jewish holidays in tomorrow’s preview instead of the events I’ve created which is super annoying. I know our country is owned by Israel, but this is ridiculous. I have to turn off US holidays to get rid of Jewish holidays which is crazy because those aren’t US holidays.

Accidental Holiday Creation
i created a holiday accidentally called Space Day where you grab things like Milky Way bars, Chips& dip etc. and you look at stars and nebulas and take pictures

Yes I have gone into both my phone settings and the app settings and I do not have my calendar set to Hebrew, and I only have US holidays selected. “Jewish holidays are included!” They weren’t before. I can promise you for years I have not been bombarded with so many Jewish holidays spunking up my calendar. Absolutely wild that 1. Multiple religious holidays are being forced into my calendar, if I want to observe the federal holidays. 2. That there aren’t more inclusive options for your calendar. There’s three options. You operate in 175 COUNTRIES. DO BETTER.
