Good but has annoying issues

First off, I love the app and I’m thankful that it exists and doesn’t cost anything!! This has really helped me start my journey into calisthenics and to a better me. Now the bad, the app constantly logs me out, I wish it would just keep me logged in. I’m not sure why but it hasn’t kept track of my progress yet either, it’s like I’m starting over every time. Next up is while I’m doing the exercises, it skips one every time I complete one and I have to scroll back up, this is EXTREMELY annoying. Again, I very much appreciate the app, it would just be nice to see those things fixed.

Response from developer

Thanks for the detailed feedback, and sorry about those issues. The logout, progress tracking, and workout skipping problems all sound frustrating, especially when you're trying to build momentum. If you can, please email info@caliverse.app with your device and app version so I can look into it properly.

Worth the try

I would definitely recommend the app since it caters for all fitness levels looking to get into Calisthenics. Super easy get into

Lots of substance but the form

I absolutely love the independence Caliverse gives me to work out and to try comprehensive programs for a very reasonable price. Personally, I would pay a little more to have a more user friendly platform. The app fails to track my progress, I have a hard time finding my way around. I try to track my progress manually and try to make it work because I do believe the app provides quality programs to improve my physical condition.

Review after first workout

Overall pleased with the free offerings of this app. Enjoy seeing the short videos of each workout, however, a couple of immediate pain points. One is quite significant and I see it in other comments. It probably would deter me from continuing with the app unless it was fixed - that is the need to hit next to each exercise in a workout. This really ruins the flow of the exercise and is quite annoying. The second pain point is finishing a workout. It asks you some feedback on it but then has no clear way to exit without going all the way back through the workout you just finished and then your plan doesn’t register that you just finished the workout. Seems like a bug?

Overall Good Program

I like the app overall. It’s nice to see visuals of the individual exercises. It does feel a little clunky however. I wish that the app would automatically transition to the next exercise in the workout rather than having to physically tap the start / continue button every time.

Remove one feature

I would give a perfect rating here, but there is a strange thing that happens in the app. I could be close to done with a workout, I touch near the top of the screen on accident and it resets my workout to the top. If I scroll to where I left at, I lose all the data from my workout unless I do it over again.

Awesome app

I never leave reviews but this app makes working out easy and fun, my wife and I can have a great workout together and in the last 2 years our appearance has changed drastically compared to doing our own thing at the gym

Not free

Claimed to be free but a subscription like many of the others. Waste of time.

It’s full of dead ends: what do I do next?

It’s hard to tell whether something is a bug (tapping repeatedly on “sync with Apple Health”), or a lack of next step. Either way, the idea is fantastic. The workouts are well considered and very well matched to ability! However, the app is deeply frustrating to use. You can, for example, start a plan, and sometimes it will set a schedule for you. Sometimes, it will not. When you look at the calendar, it shows nothing — and the dashboard says there’s nothing on today, despite _just_ choosing to start a workout.

It would be interesting to see a group of people use this for the first time. The UX journeys would be fascinating. How many people would know what to do first? How many would know what to do next? And how many would get lost thinking they’d chosen one thing only to find the app hadn’t actually given them the choice they thought they’d made?

I want this to work. But it would be easier to find workouts on YouTube and paste links to them in my calendar than follow the plans in this app, because at least then I would know if I had actually planned a week of workouts, or just sweated for 40 minutes only to discover it doesn’t count (and won’t sync to apple health anyway.)

Broken

Crashes constantly during set-up process plus in app functions such as scroll up or date select. Instability renders this app virtually useless

Got me into calisthenics

Been using for a month and there is a clear difference both in my appearance and strength. I like that during the workout you can substitute a set for something working the same group because either you don’t have the equipment or you want something a little harder. I just ask that after we finish the work out we can edit the amount of reps if you did more or less.

Crashes often

Every time I try to explore the various workout plans, it crashes. Completely unusable.

Keeps crashing

Just downloaded this and it seems like a really good app, but it keeps crashing whenever I try and look through the workout plans. Shame as it makes it pretty unusable unless it’s fixed.

Really good!!

It really surprised me! Its free but it doesnt feel that way. It doesnt have a lot of personalization features but its a free app. Congrats to the devs

Constantly crashes

Constantly crashes, at explore, you no longer select a plan, half a year last update. Maybe project discontinued

I hate restrictions

I want to change from weight lifting to more calestethics. I already strength train Monday through Friday for an hour and follow that with a 4-5 mile walk. However, I want to progress into harder things and better mobility which weight lifting limits and calestethics offers. I need to stay on schedule and hate having days off during the week. If I schedule it I want it. This app brought me down to 3 days a week of exercises I can already do, and the build of this app is very hard to navigate. Overall If I pick something don’t take it from me!! I deleted it after 10 minutes of use.

Perfect app

Thisbapp is great, we just need it in more languages and it would be top!

Continuous Pausing During Workout

I like the workouts but I hate that I am forced to take rest breaks. Then on top of that the workout doesn’t resume after the rest although I did set it to automatically resume after rest. The whole workout I have to manually keep resuming the workout. Not a good user experience at all.

Dumpster Fire for App Crashes

Did one workout which was great, the app had a lot of different options and was looking forward to keep using it but it just keeps crashing mid workout. Gave up using it and cancelled the plan. Save your time for something else.
