So I got this app because my child has anger management issues and she get s mad sometimes so we’ve tried a lot of things and this app works. You can even write your own things that you have seen to help and you can remove things that you don’t like it comes with a whole bunch of new coping skills that I didn’t even know existed. My child loves it. She will always be able to calm down with this app. It’s just a great app. It’s free. There’s like no payments. You can even schedule like when you’ve been getting angry or sad it’sgreat have to get this app really great.

Love ability to save audio

Great tool and easy to use. Love how you can save audio/video from your phone for easy access. For example, a recorded message from my therapist for easy access.

Excellent resource!

(Requires Google sign in or Apple sign in so would be more careful using this in a school setting due to possible privacy concerns?) A really interesting tool that I could see being very helpful for someone struggling with anxiety and/or depression. It allows you to choose what tools you would like to use (and you can make your own custom strategies for calming) and add them to a daily calendar - then you can give a thumbs up, a “neutral” or a thumbs down to rate if that strategy helped you cope. The calendar shows a month view with little color coded dots to show whether the strategies used worked or not. There are also resources, affirmations, a place to add audio and video files, and for a particular country- not sure where-a way to contact a suicide crisis hotline. Very interesting and helpful resource.

Just a question. I ❤️ this.

So helpful at this time. My beautiful daughter would have had her golden birthday on the 29th of March. My husband died 12 years ago on March 31. My precious sweet one and only daughter died April 5, 2022. I just wondered if you could add cuddling with cat (or dog) to your list. That’s what I’m doing right now. My cat Puppy is all curled up in my lap. So soothing.❤️‍🩹🙏🏼🙏🏼🐱

This comes with preloaded tools which is very helpful. For my needs, I’m able to use it without signing in. The app privacy is good, because they don’t collect data.

Hello - Sorry to hear this. We are a small team trying to reach those where these tools could help so information in many cases can be a lifeline. As for the Google and Apple sign ins -- this is merely just to save progress such as favorite Tools, or entries so should someone delete the app, nothing is lost. Apple logins are super easy and allow users to hide emails. Just a click needed. No other information is collected or shared. If any of this helps, please let us know in an updated review. We appreciate you downloading!

No wonder NO review

If u don’t sign in an account u can’t use it. That is a stress unforgivable.
The calendar ends next Feb 2025
User will better be off stay away from this lame app

Hello - There's no one from Canada yet hence no reviews. As for accounts, If don't use one of the low-key methods we have in place to create an account, any progress will lost if you delete the app. We'd say that would be a very unpleasant feeling. Google login and Apple Login, only require a click and that's it. And loading calendars far into the future is a time/size logic to enhance speed so you are not loading things that are not required. The calendar will continue forever, we just have it ending due to storage. Each month that passes a month gets added on. The calendar will never just end. With this info does it change you mind? We are a small team looking to ultimately help users who are triggered with trauma and give them the reminders and a space to record what works and what doesn't.

Great app to help with calming down!

As someone who struggles with anxiety, this app has been great! I love that it comes with preloaded tools as it’s sometimes hard to know where to start, it’s also great to add some of my own! It will definitely become a go-to when I’m struggling to find calm!

Want to Collaborate to add IFS tools?

I love the idea of this app and will recommend to my clients, and have them add in:
- Dialogue With Protector Part being triggered
- Accept & Love the Inner Child Part who is still holding the pain of the Core Wound
- Use the Path Exercise to access Self-Energy (Core Essence)
- Ask if Parts can relax back so Self-Energy can hold loving space for Part being triggered
- Upload Dialogue Worksheets to help befriend the Protector Part

Great tool for helping me stay on track and “use my tools” - a lot of great features: check list of tools tried, ability to favorite tools, calendar to track mood and what tools have worked and not worked.

Empowering Self-Care Companion for IFS Therapy

Calming Triggers is an indispensable tool for me as I am immersed in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. Its intuitive interface helps me identify and utilize the tools that resonate most with my needs. I like that it comes preloaded with tools, but also I can add my own. My therapist suggests new tools and it’s nice to add custom tools tailored to what works for my different parts. Like some parts like doing EFT tapping and some parts like cold water technique, I added those custom tools to my list so that I can remember to use them. Also the ability to Track progress and mood fluctuations in the notes section empowers me to communicate effectively with my therapist and discern which interventions work best. This app fosters mindfulness and validates my internal experiences, enhancing my therapeutic journey. Calming Triggers is a compassionate and insightful companion that empowers users to navigate their inner world with resilience and authenticity. And also to practice emotional regulation, whether it be a panic attack coping skill or just needing to support parts who are angry. The tool is a beacon to finding my self and holding my parts.
