Dodgy and Expensive Company
App is really badly coded, doesn’t work and is super buggy. It’s a rental company in Japan that looks like they’re trying to scrape other apps and then import the data into this app, you’ve gotta rent through them to unlock it and probably against Apple‘s terms of service
Wonderful App and great team behind Japan Campers
We had the most incredible 2 weeks in our Japan Camper (a Nissan Duo). Having the freedom to explore on our own timetable, the ease at which we could find safe, quiet and clean places to stop each night and this super helpful app that you get on their iPad (and also a link to install on your own tablet/mobile) for directions and recommendations from other campers is great. It is really well laid out and we used it to find park for the night places, Onsens, point of interest and things to see. You can add and update it as you travel as well to help out other travels. We found the Japan Campers team to be really responsive from booking through to arrival and throughout if we had any questions. Airport pick up and drop off and the ability to stay in their guesthouse the night before if you arrive late worked so well for us. We did lots of research before we came and can say we are so happy to have made the call to go with this team. We will be back for sure! In case it’s helpful we recommend getting in your package the ETC card for tolls, the portable wifi which we upgraded to 3GB a day (and used!) and depending on your plans consider a portable toilet… we only used it once or twice but it enabled us to stay in places with great views but no toilet… and on the days we didn’t use it we added a cushion and it became a useful seat 😂 in the camper rather than unmake the bed and put the table up every day. The Camper itself was well laid out and had everything we needed to stay warm and comfortable, so well worth it. Thank you Team JC
