Pire app et bbq ever

Depuis mon achat de ce bbq service a la clientèle mediocre produit non fiable avec les sensors , meme apres avoir changer le board digital et les sonde . Avec la nouvelle app impossible de ce connecter meme si tu es coller sur le bbq ou le wifi . Honnêtement payer p’us cher pour un autre marque .

Buggy

Continues to have the same buggy interface when renaming and adjusting settings of probes. It typically takes several “saves” for the app to register or one needs to close app and reopen for the new probe settings to be visible. The old app had the exact same issue. Can’t understand how developers allow such a basic functionality issue be allowed to linger for all these years.. do you not test this on all platforms?

Am I missing something?

What good is the app if as soon as I get to far away my Bluetooth connection is dropped. So annoying having to position myself in my house so I’m close enough to re-establish the connection only to look at it once walk far enough away to have it dropped again. All WiFi should be the route you’re going for.

Barely works

App constantly disconnects from grill when my phone is sitting less than 5’ from it. Last app wasn’t much better either

Where did the timer go

Old version had a countdown timer that I used every time I used the pellet grill. I have looked all thru the app and the updated version seems to not have it anywhere. I prefer the old version

No iPad support?

I don’t really see any improvement and they dropped support for the iPad.

Horrible

Absolutely terrible app and even worse customer support. I bought a Wi-Fi-enabled smoker and can’t even use the Wi-Fi features because the controller refuses to update its software. What’s the point of paying extra for smart features that don’t work?

The app is buggy, unreliable, and feels like it was abandoned years ago. When I contacted support, they were completely unhelpful and offered no real solution. I wasted hours troubleshooting something that should have worked out of the box.

Their software and customer service are an embarrassment. If connected features matter to you, look elsewhere.

New App

Can’t connect! Spent 30 minutes trying! Now I’m peeved! Dinner needs to start people here! Great experience for the crowd thinking about Treager or Camp Chef!

App update

This last update was awesome! My grill connected in seconds and the app was stable throughout the cook. Can’t ask for much more than that!

Prefer the old app

Graph for the old app was better, and even that one wasn’t great. I want the graph to move while I’m moving through the time, not move the time first then wait for the graph to move. Also trying to connect to the grill, I don’t want to try and be forced to connect Bluetooth every time. If I choose WiFi only, just leave me alone with your wannabe Bluetooth forced connection. The interface isn’t as nice as the old version either, trying to hard to make it fancy instead of having it just work.

New app no way to start grill

Old app would let you start up grill from the app. I don’t see that function at all with the new one

Seamless Connection and slick update

I like this new app update, which has been seamless for me. I never had issues with the old one connecting, but the app itself showed its age - didn’t update UI for new phone, etc.

The new app not only connected immediately, but makes all the data (charts, current temps, etc) and active settings (probe temp, change settings, etc) available. Like it!

Improvements

I think this is certainly an improvement over the old
App. That app had so many interesting quirks, this is much more
Concise. If timers come abck to the app and you let me set a custom scale on the temp graph i will be moving this to a 5

Prefer the old app

Difficult to read the temperature history. Better when I could just swipe the graph itself. Also have yet to find an alarm for time or temperature option.

The app has not worked since I first bought my woodwind pro 3 years ago. Let’s see how long this one last. Had to forget device and re-connect everything and so far the temp controls work

Can be improved

It’s surprising how you can’t set up timers. It was possible with the old app and very usefull.

Where’d the timers go? I had all my cook times and temps saved as timers but new app appears to have done away with this very useful feature. Lame.

No timer or scale control

The app is nice to monitoring temperatures and controlling the grill. However, the app no longer has the ability to set timers, and the temperature graphing feature, while much appreciated, does not allow you to scale the y-axis for temperature. This makes it difficult to see accurately see the trends, such as when the meat has hit the stall.

Old vs new app

I much prefer the graphing from the old camp chef app for the temperature readings, simply swipe left and right to look at the graphing from the start of the cook to present time when using the included thermometers, trying to review the same data on the new app is an awful experience, also when setting temps and smoke level, a circular toggle is not great for setting a specific temp as the slider lacks precision when moving your finger, it’s so much easier to type in a desired temperature.
