Great idea, but not there yet.
Similar to other available apps and has the advantage of planning a trip. In some instances, the ‘search this area’ box doesn’t work and also the yellow ‘locations’ button does nothing despite showing a number of them. Potentially a great app.
Unable to use it
If I had a background in IT perhaps I could plan a route but I don’t. The route planner is incredibly frustrating and I’ve given up trying. You create days that can’t be allocated to anything and allocate locations that can’t be seen in the route planner. I accept that the problem is my ability to use technology but I am pretty average. The app is wasted money for me and I’ll go back to old fashioned pen and paper.

Loads of bugs on app and can’t even contact them by email as says email doesn’t exist also can’t reset password
Early days but has great potential
Coming from an IT background I understand how hard it is to get things off the ground and get user acceptance. Like all IT developments this App is a constant work in progress. The important thing to consider is that the developers (Chris and Anth) are Campers, so they have experienced all the shortfalls of other Apps or paperwork systems and are looking for an optimum solution. The user community have an opportunity to give their input to try make this the best it can be, so I say, be patient and give your support. I will certainly be giving my feedback and input along the way.

Just what I have been looking for.
I downloaded this app as soon as it was released and have been getting to know it. So far I’m really impressed, I love the route planning function and have already started to make up future getaways. Can’t wait to see how this progresses in the future. Thanks team.
Insecure and needs a lot of work
This app needs taking down and testing locally. So many bugs, backend supabase errors. No password reset button. Doesn’t send confirmation email due to database permissions. Real bad. I think it has potential but for me it needs to be secure and needs to have the basic functionality working, seems rushed.
Hope it gets fixed and maybe I’ll try another time.

This isn’t the forum for support. Please send your issues to team@campa-app.com. I’m not sure what issues you are referring to. And to be frank, you have absolutely no idea about database permissions or functionality. But thanks for posting the review I guess.
Early Days
Joined ‘Founder Edition’. The concept of this app is good and will, I believe, eventually become a must for all those full and part timer tourers. 3 stars for now.

I don’t know
The concept sounds great and I have followed some of your YouTube adventures Chris. But having down loaded set up account and then had a verification email, it goes wrong. It says verified I go back to the app and says email not verified. I have tried 7 times and in the end have given up.
Do in short I want to like it but can’t, I will probably circle back in a few months to see if the glitches have been ironed out. Best of luck.

Does exactly what was promised
After hearing about the app on a YouTube vlog I downloaded it and had a good look through it before deciding to purchase the ‘early believer’ package. First things first, the app is brand new so of course there are a tiny number of minor glitches but any new app goes through this process. The fact that you can route plan in great detail is very unique and the ability to pindrop locations privately or within groups of trusted friends etc is awesome. The map pack options are superb, Ive already got the nc500 one and the level of detail and images that have been created first hand by the developers is next level. Give it 6 months and this will be the go to Vanlife app.
