Best Alarm app

I never thought I would love an alarm app this much lol. I use it to help improve habits which I can do because unlike the native Apple alarm app which is limited to 24 hours for non-recurring alarms, Cannot Ignore lets me schedule alarms for any time in the future. The developer is responsive and even took on board a request that was extremely important to me. Thank you so much for making this surprisingly life changing (no exaggeration) app.

Finally

I’ve been looking for an app like this for years. I found one for android but then I switched to Apple phones so I was glad to find an app that does this. I could definitely use the help.

Excellent Customer Service & Experience

I had a few buggy issues with the app and reached out to support. I received an immediate response from Matt stating he was able to replicate the issue I was having and he had a bug fix released with in a few hours. The entire process was easy and not to mention how the pure existence of this app has made my life 100x easier. ADHD + endless work meetings = a recipe for disaster. I never miss anything now! Would 10/10 recommend.

STILL Poor Reminders Implentation

The app always stays active in the Dynamic Island.

Seems like another kludgy way to keep this app running.

App DOES NOT automatically sync with Reminders.

App shouldn’t require a Shortcut to sync in real time with Reminders.

Edit: Other users and our own testing verifies that syncing happens automatically with Reminders and Calendar. Could you send a video of what you’re seeing to hello@cephalopod.studio to pinpoint the issue so we can reproduce the bug? We should also note that no shortcut is required to sync in realtime. As long as the app is not force quit, it will add alerts to Calendar Events and Reminders automatically. Hello, we added more improvements to syncing. No requirement to play silent audio. Only that the user not force quit the app. Cannot Ignore syncs with Reminders and Calendar events in realtime. The app listens for any change in Calendars and Reminders, so that you don't have to even open Cannot Ignore to get your new alerts. (If a reminder does not have a date attached, it will not appear in Cannot Ignore, btw, if that’s an issue) If you would like some more back and forth troubleshooting, happy to help over at hell@cephalopod.studio!

Please Consider?

Adding Alarms that repeat Monthly and the option to schedule Extended Alarms to end or stop repeating on chosen date(s).

Great

The app is super easy to use which is appreciated as well as looks great does what it is supposed to without any clutter and the developer is very quick to respond to any issue he seems to really care and ask this for less then I dollar it don’t get any better then that.

Auto Sync Still Not Working

UPDATE:

The new background sync feature doesn’t work. I still have to manually open and refresh the app which is a dealbreaker for me.

Furthermore, the keep alive description seems very kludgy (plays silent audio?).

Other apps like GoodTask have no issues syncing with Reminders in real time.

I love how you can add your own sound to the alarms ! Syncing the alarms to your event is also a nice touch . On top of that , the app icon itself is very adorable !

Good But Needs Auto Sync

App works as advertised. But it doesn’t automatically sync in real-time with Reminders though. Instead it relies on Shortcuts automations which is not ideal.

I enjoy the simplicity of this app. I’d like to see an option to have full screen alerts when the phone is unlocked, as well as locked.

A must-have!

If you tend to ignore or dismiss event alarms, this app is a game changer. I’ve used In Your Face on my Mac for some time and wished there was an iPhone version; Cannot Ignore delivers exactly what I needed and more. The reminders are impossible to miss (in the best way), the experience is smooth and reliable, and the support team is outstanding. Highly recommended.

Amazingly Helpful

The alarms are full size and I can set different sounds which help a lot. I like that I can sync them in calendar and reminders.

Finally makes my calendar alerts effective

This enables my calendar alerts to be more effective, reducing the likelihood of missing any scheduled notifications. I had an initial issue with the app which the developer successfully resolved.

This app actually does what alarms are supposed to do.

Cannot Ignore is hands-down the most effective alarm app. The full-screen alarms are impossible to miss, which is exactly the point, and the design is refreshingly simple. No clutter, no overthinking—just fast, reliable execution.

The killer feature for me is the ability to attach links directly to alarms. When the alarm goes off, I can open a meeting link, document, or location instantly. Importing events from Calendar and Reminders with automatic link detection is seamless and saves a ton of time. No more copying and pasting or scrambling when something important is starting.

It’s clear this app was built by someone who actually understands how people miss things—and how to fix that problem elegantly. Clean interface, thoughtful features, and zero friction. If you need alarms you cannot ignore, this app delivers exactly what it promises.

Highly recommend.
