Needs updating very lagging
The camera app is extremely laggy on my SX70 hs when using live view it wasn’t like this before the latest update it made the app laggy on my iPhone 17 Pro max on iOS 26.6.1 please fix we have over 650 download and 250mbps upload speed PLEASE FIX thanks.

Bad experience
I have used this app for years with few issues, but today, after getting a new phone and having to use an updated version of the app, the experience was awful. The app kept disconnecting from my camera. And twice, after I spent 10-15 minutes selecting photos that I wanted to download to my device, the app forced me into my settings page and required me to grant full access to all of my photos. First, It’s never required that before. Second, each time it forced me into my settings, it disconnected from the camera and lost all the images I had just selected for download. VERY DISAPPOINTING. And of course there is no way to share feedback with Canon via the app itself. Grrr.

I ran into connection problems and it was difficult finding assistance or information.
all pics got deleted
i had thousands of pics on there and they got lost in the transferring process

If only it was consistent..
Disconnects over and over again, and you have to continue to establish connection, and deselect pictures to download. When it works it’s great, when it doesn’t it is so frustrating it makes me regret asking for the camera. Please fix this app! 2 stars for almost getting it..

Why in the world does Canon lock users out. I really do not like that I have to have an account to use the app. This is a horrible experience

It’s hard to connect to app. Constantly having to delete WiFi and reconnect. (If that works)
Essentially useless
The previous canon app was solid. Ever since everyone had to switch over to this one it basically continues to crash on the file transfer screen.
WiFi connection
It won’t auto connect to my new phone like it did on my old phone….very annoying, i have to redo the whole WiFi connection each time.
Optional
I’ve had this app and camera for years with no issue and suddenly I can’t connect my camera to my phone because of no internet connection I can’t seem to be able to fix it. Part of the reason I got the camera wast the easy way to drop pics formy canon power shot camera and now it’s not working. Why?! Hate you and cannon useless idiots

Failure
Used to work reasonably well if clunky and quite slow. I mainly use for uploading photos to iPhone. Following software update to camera (R6ii) I can’t connect to phone through either Bluetooth or WiFi.
