Painful process
I can’t understand how Canon hasn’t fixed this issue of connectivity between your smartphone and the camera. I’ve had the EOS200D for about 7 years and in that time, have continuously struggled to get the camera photos connected to my iPhone. How hard can it be to get this fixed and function like a proper app? Is the app the issue or is it the way the cameras are made?

Why do I Need to Create an Account?
I don’t want to create an account to use this app. I have already purchased a number of Canon bodies and lenses, and don’t want to be tied to Canon through another account. I immediately deleted the app and found highly rated alternatives.

Some photos won’t even appear on the app and videos will randomly stop downloading having you to do that tedious downloading process again!
Was a great app until it asked you to signin
It was Great app to control your camera. Then canon decided that logging into an account was needed. I love doing that when im in the wilderness. You cant use the app without logging in and if your login times out you are SOL if you are outdoors
Canon connect
I used to live canon and have invested so much money into, but ever since this app updated I have had the hardest time keeping it connected to my phone. I use it to record and I have to go back and try to record the same thing four or five times because it just keeps disconnecting. As someone who shoots by themselves this becomes such an issue.

Difficult to connect at times. Have had to disconnect everything and uninstall the CC app three times and then reinstall and connect camera with my IPhone. And can only connect to one device at a time.

Waste of time
The camera will connect to Bluetooth, but won’t use Bluetooth. Wants to switch to WiFi, but won’t stay connected. Finally got it to download a photo, but the photo was time stamped 1999 even though the date in the camera settings is correct for today.

You used to be able to just use this app. Now they force you to create an account and two factor verification. NO. This is completely unnecessary and so beyond frustrating. I DO NOT recommend unless they bring back the option to use it without an account. Absolutely ridiculous move Canon. Hate.

Must Make an Account After Update
I updated this app after a year or so without updating it. Suddenly, I am required to make an account to use functions of my camera that I paid for!
I shouldn’t need an account to import photos taken on my own camera. My Fujifilm XP camera from 2016 has a better app without an account. This is embarrassing.

Horrible
EOSR user. Can never get this to connect. Unreliable app constantly having to issues. Canon does nothing to fix. Capture One is a much better option for professional shooters.
Not happy
Seems like it’s very obsessive over your own pictures. Each time wants access to your own pictures on your phone when using this app
