No support help
I have been trying to get help from support for 3 weeks now. The is no chat support no phone number to call. They just have email support and keep saying wait 3-5 days then 4 days then 5-7 days but nothing happens. You earn the rewards and they keep it.

Promised Rewards are a SCAM!!
I signed up for a reward promising a $45 bonus if I install the Capital One extension to Safari, I never got the rewards, and contacted them. Their customer service seemed outsourced, very evasive with their answers, and would not confirm my reward. I contacted them and got another agent who informed me:
You may be ineligible for a number of reasons, including:
You already installed or previously had installed the Shopping extension
You removed or disabled the extension before you received the bonus
You installed the extension, but did not sign into Capital One Shopping within the specified timeframe
You did not complete all requirements in the terms provided as part of the sign up bonus offer.
We reserve the right to not apply a rewards bonus to accounts suspected of fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive behavior as determined at our sole discretion.
I have done nothing wrong, so basically, they have the right to not honor rewards because they feel like it. This is bait and switch, and it is a scam. It is also illegal. I have been a loyal Capital One credit card member for years, and this is my first negative interaction with them. I am disappointed, and I hope no one else is scammed by them.

this app is a huge scam
i got this app because there was a discount it was promising where if i download the app i can click a link at the movie theaters and i will save 40% on my order. after downloading the app and setting everything up i clicked on the link which would take me to the app store, not inside the app. once opening the app i already had downloaded there was no deal to be found. any link that offers discounts will take you to the app store and not inside the app with the discount offered available. do not get this app.

You go through all the steps and then they don’t give you $55. Their home page discount on Lego.com ($50 when you spend $100) also doesn’t work. This is a scam offer, and should not be mistaken for legitimate.
I like it but…
I really like Capital One, how they operate, and the savings they offer. However, I’ve reached out to them at least five times in order to set up a simple checking account. Despite having two credit cards with them for a few years now, due to someone using my social security number back in the 1990s, they can’t seem to give me a checking account in 2026. I find it quite difficult to understand. So, as for customer service and assistance from above them, I must say it is very, very lacking.
