The only weather app the DMV needs
I’m so the glad Capital Weather guys have an app now! This app has everything you could need - forecasts written for the DMV area by local meteorologists, radar, 10 day, hourly. I deleted my other weather apps. Great job!
Best weather app yet!
I have always loved the Capital Weather gang, but the app really proved its worth within 25 hours of downloading it, when we had a severe storm and tornado watch the other day in DC.
You can turn notifications on such that it will give you verbal warnings about what the specific incoming danger is.
That’s so helpful instead of having to grab for your phone and see what it says when a warning sounds.
Also the precipitation map is really useful.

I really hope you develop a widget soon because I would like to add it to my iPhone landing page. Then I can forget the Apple Weather one…

The Best
This group is the best in local weather. The app has everything I need for radar, notification options and their as good-as-it-possibly-can-get analysis. I felt literal joy when I discovered they spun themselves back out of the Wash Post, which has been less than well run since its change in ownership (to say the least). Doing my best to spread the word!

Local Weather with Real People
I am loving the Capital Weather app just as much as I have enjoyed listening to the Capital Weather Gang on WAMU for years. It’s wonderful to support local journalists. It is very accurate and I appreciate the notifications.
