Missing data
I have used this free service for several years with multiple cars. It is easy to use and I considered it very useful, unfortunately I find all data has disappeared. I can’t find a reason for this and haven’t been able to discuss options for recovery. Rate it very high until this data loss.
Update after years using and loving it until now.
Update: Nov 2025: I got a new phone and had to install the app from scratch. Unfortunately it now will not access the 19 MB data stored in iCloud. Tried restarting the phone; turning iCloud off and on etc with no luck. Very frustrating because I have the data on iPad but it will not sync with the phone. I see that the app hasn’t been updated for 5 years so I guess I’m out of luck. I checked their help articles without success. Too bad because this is an awesome app. First off, I can’t believe that I’ve been using this app for 7 years and here I am updating my review to move it to the top of the list. It is THAT GOOD!
If this app was named something that indicated it was for tracking fuel mileage, I'm guessing it would be at the top of the list. I've tried at least 5 vehicle fuel/service apps. Until finding this one, I didn't think I was going to get one that suited my needs AND synced to iCloud. I was using MPG with ads which was very good except that it didn't iCloud sync. Well this one is even better and it syncs. Data entry is a breeze and displayed beautifully. No manual required, it is so easy to figure out. A steal for $2.

Great App - a couple of suggestions.
1. The drop-downs in fields like location, details & type would be good if you could scroll. Can only usually see the most recent 3 items. Have to start typing to bring up items with similar word/s to bring up the option you’re looking for.
2. In car details, a field to enter Kms / Miles vehicle had traveled at time of purchase. Even a new car usually has a few kms already on it at time of purchase. Also a field to store insurance details (company name, policy number etc).
App sometimes freezes and requires shutting down and re-opening. I use an iPhone 11 Pro & iPad Pro, I do data entry on the phone and email backup as my iCloud is full. Sometimes times when restoring to my iPad the iPad freezes on the green screen with the message “loading”. Have to close the app and re-open, data does restore.

I updated the operating system on my iPhone and iPad to iOS 26. Since then I backup data from my phone via email as I have always done. However, when I attempt to restore to my iPad egret the following error message; “File import format error”. This has only happened since updating the iOS.

Useless unless you purchase
Only lets you log 5 records in free version, just not worth the money to purchase, there are very similar apps for much much less.
Excellent but…
I have been using the Car Logbook app for several years with several different vehicles. I like everything about it except that it will not carry the overall fuel mileage if you do a partial fuel fill-up. Other than that, I think it's nearly perfect and I highly recommend it.

Best car log app I’ve seen so far
I searched a lot (not all) of these apps; downloaded and tried them out. I selected this one initially and am glad I did.
After using it for several months I’m really happy with it. None of these apps were intuitive to use, but this is the most easy to use. And it’s generic enough you can use it for all kinds of things (lawn tractor, quad runner, trailers if you want).
It does a lot of calculations under the hood and provides graphs and charts to track expenses. Date filter let’s you see monthly costs (or weekly or whatever). It provides full functionality without in-app purchases (I might have paid small fee when I downloaded it, can’t remember).

Data Rich
I haven’t came across another app that charts your fill up data like this one. Showing energy density of fuel using mpg driven from a specific station makes so much sense but haven’t seen another tracker do this. Would recommend purchasing the full version, if you ever switch phones you’ll have to manually input everything.

Great app to track expenditure
Such a great app, developer is awesome - would be good to have a call written in to allow saving the images to dropbox or onedrive into a specific folder.

Simple app that does what’s needed.
3 Problems
Kinda surprised (and annoyed) that I had to purchase this after recording a number of fill-ups. This wasn’t disclosed anywhere. Also, it’s not particularly obvious how to log in fill-up data. Most important, though, is that it doesn’t calculate the miles-per-gallon for each fill-up - don’t bother with this app if this information is important to you.

Easy to use and update.
Pretty good App but it...
Needs fields for Engine size, Transmission type, Gear ratio and user defined fields to show on main screen. That way when viewing mileage data you know the particulars and any changes of the vehicle being observed. Overall it’s a pretty handy app but when using it for multiple vehicles it would help to see the above mentioned fields.

It’s A good app but the only downfall is want to have 10 items it automatically charges your Apple account for the price of the pro app without you even knowing.
