What's New in CardioSimple
1.9.0
August 21, 2026
A clearer way to see your progress, plus reminders for your medication. • Your fitness is now measured in METs, worked out from the machines you train on and the level you set each one to. As you turn a machine up, the number goes up with it — so it reflects the work you are actually doing. • METs mean something outside the gym. The app tells you what your number compares to, like a flight of stairs or raking leaves, so you can see what you are ready for at home. • Every machine now shows its own MET value, so you can see which one is doing the most for you. • We now ask whether you want to turn a machine up after four or five sessions on it, rather than on a fixed fortnight. If you train more often, you are asked sooner. • A reminder at 8am on the days you have medication due, naming what to take. It only appears on the days that medication is actually scheduled. • Your food score has been reworked so a healthy meal is scored as one. Eating more of a heart-healthy food is never counted against you, and the score, the advice and each meal's rating now always agree.
