Excelente aplicação.

Aplicativo muito bom, sugestão: se for possível uma nova versão, com mais modificações em veículos com PQ25 do grupo WV, exemplo gol a partir de 2018.

Dont get this scanner

Need subscription to do anything at all

Expensive

After purchasing the scanner, you still need to pay 20/month to use the function

Toyota Tundra

Took my Tundra to 2 different dealerships after my key fobs lock/unlock/panic/ remote start buttons stopped functioning after a settings change in the vehicle’s customization menu. Both dealerships said they never heard of it. After some research I found some other owners had the same issue and bought this scan tool to fix it. Took me 5 minutes including reading the instructions and my truck was back to normal including the remote start!

EVO scanner “bricked”

Told via app to update to latest version to carry on using. Scanner no longer works!! Will not connect to app anymore. Support absolutely useless.

UPDATE. 05 Aug 2026
After receiving a response (and after spending the last week back and forth with “support”) I received the instructions on how to “reset” the EVO module. A further 2 hours and no further on, will not connect and carry out firmware reset/update. As said, the module is bricked following previous update!! Send me a return envelope and you can have it back to fix at your leisure, it’s of no use to me.

Response from developer

Thanks for your review, and we're sorry for the frustration! Your EVO isn't bricked. This happens when a firmware update gets interrupted, usually by a Bluetooth disconnection while it's running. The good news is our support team has a fix: a manual firmware restore through our beta app that gets the scanner working again. Please reach out once more at support@carista.com and we'll send you the full step-by-step instructions to get you back up and running.

No Honda?

Honda not supported 😨

Response from developer

Thanks for your review! While Honda isn't listed on our website yet, we've started supporting advanced diagnostics for some Honda models in the beta version of our app. We'd love for you to try it out and share your feedback, as it genuinely helps us expand Honda coverage. Here's how to join the beta: https://help.caristaapp.com/hc/articles/360009767900-How-do-I-get-in-the-beta. Any questions? Reach us at support@carista.com.

Major increases in subscription pricing.

Even though their own website FAQ says you can purchase a 1-month subscription for $14.99, there is no longer any option to buy that term. Instead, you must pay for an expensive full year, or an in-app single month of use priced at $29.99 — a 100% price increase. The software is nearly useless without a subscription. Other apps offer comparable functionality at much less cost. Too bad that Carista let greed ruin their excellent product.

Response from developer

Thanks for your feedback, and we apologize for any confusion! The monthly subscription isn't priced at $14.99, and there hasn't been a 100% increase. We can confirm the prices shown in the app and FAQ are the correct, current ones. Please reach out at support@carista.com so our team can clarify the pricing for you, including any differences based on your market's currency, as prices can vary between regions such as the US and Canada. Our pricing reflects ongoing development, new features, and expanded car support, and basic OBD2 features remain free, so you only pay for what you need. Many of our users find that Carista saves them time and money over trips to the dealership.

New version breaking compatibility

I have been using the app to reset the tire pressure sensors of my 2017 Rav4 with the OBD Link MX+ OBD scanner. Unfortunately a Carista app update broke the functionality and Carista support refuses to address the issue, with their resolution being using a different device or downgrading firmware which is a no go for me as I use the device with other vehicles requiring latest firmware. Breaking functionality on devices to favor their own is despicable.

Don’t be fooled

Save your money. Buying this app is just the beginning. In most cases to use any of the features you have to buy their OBD tool. And even it’s highly likely you still won’t be able to access the advertised features. What they don’t disclose is that even tho your vehicle may be listed along with the features it’s supposed to have it’s highly unlikely it will work. It’s laughable to read the developers response to reviews about people should just contact them. Been there done that. Their typical response is auto makers have various versions of their software so not all features may work. Thanks for paying us you fools. Total lack of full disclosure. Buyer beware

Does not pull up Chassis and Engine customization on Grand Highlander Hybrid with JBL

The app does see many features in my 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid Limited. The Carista website claims app will be able to defeat engine noise (ESR) and noise cancellation (ANC), but it did not pull these up. I then bought the subscription thinking that’s why, but no. So careful with your money, their list of supported vehicles and customization claims might be incorrect and Apple Store wills reject refund requests.

App doesn’t even work right

I’ve never written an App Store review before, but this has been the worst app experience I’ve ever had. I paid for the subscription, yet the app never worked properly. I contacted customer support twice and received no meaningful help. At this point I genuinely feel like I wasted my money. If you’re looking for a coding app I’d recommend choosing a different one because this one has been nothing but frustrating.

Thanks for your review, and we're sorry for the frustration! This isn't the experience we want you to have. We'd really like to make this right, so please reach out once more at support@carista.com and we'll do our best to get everything working for you.

Doubled monthly price

Greed like this pisses me off. I am willing to pay $10 for the one month subscription so I can reset my service light after an oil change. Now doubling that just to try to push people into paying the yearly subscription that I have no need for is really lame. Makes me more likely to buy a knock off ODB tool instead.

Only runs when connected to internet

The software works well and is easy to use. But if you're outside cellular data or WiFi range, it doesn't work. Very bad for overloading. Implement standalone functionality for reading & resetting fault codes, 3 stars would be 5

Not impressed

Carista has dropped support for iOS 15. No work around, I feel this should now be refunded, also the app has no actuation features

Pure Money Grab

I have no idea if the 40 dollar reader works, because I would have to pay another 100 dollars for a subscription to actually read any of the codes. This is the textbook definition of an untrustworthy scam. Just save yourself the trouble and buy a real tool for the store.

Subscription fee to high for year

Remember to set to not auto renew

Keep raising the subscription prices

20 dollars for one month…

Disappointed

This was a waste of money. Although it promises great hidden features for your car, be careful. Make sure your car can do what they promise. Mine did not. I was expecting to code 5 features that they said my car had. Only one worked.
