You don’t need the internet plan to use!!
It took us half our trip to realize the hub works on carnivals free WiFi which is limited. Once downloaded, it helped us avoid long waits for dinning, select our disembarkation, review our charges and many other helpful tips and information! Definitely download it and ask a crew member for help if you need. Giving it a one star because my Dad was never able to get the app working, but because we invited each other, our staterooms were attached and I was able to check in their room from my app as well.

App Experience
I found the Carnival HUB app to be very helpful since I was traveling with my grandson I was able to track his comings and goings from his group. I was able to see my charges reminders for dinner, etc. I found it most helpful.

Would have given it 5 stars, however, trying to communicate with your ship companions is tough when they’re not receiving your msgs or they’re receiving them late. Other than that, I enjoy being able to see all the activities for the day/ week. Having all the important reminders on there & being able to mark what activity/show you want to participate in & the app reminding you about it. Also love seeing the menu options for all the restaurants. Over all, the app gives a lot of much needed info to make things easier.

This app was so helpful in navigating the ship, figuring out what was happening on any given day, and menus! (Although some of the food spots didn’t have menu option on the app itself, it could help you navigate to said spot so you could take a look.) The app had your expenses readily available and if you got a drink at package it kept track of which drink you got at which bar or cafe which was very useful!

App can be problematic
I love, love, LOVE cruising with Carnival. However, I find the app to be very unreliable both on and off the ship. At home, I can't always find all my upcoming cruises, just the next closest cruise coming up. And many times, I can't get it to work at all.
Cruise Virgin
This was my first cruise. My son got married on the Carnival Radiance. The staff and crew members made it such an incredible experience for him and his wife along with our family. We had a lot of first time travelers among our group. Thanks to the Carnival Radiance Crew a great time was had by all.
Very helpful on cruise
Didn’t realize all this would do until we got on board. Husband & I could message each other since we didn’t buy an internet plan (messaging was $5/device for the cruise), got all our menus, requested tables in MDR, picked times for debarkation and shore tenders, ship map. The only additional things I wish it had were the journey’s map that you could pull up on the stateroom tv and announcements since the ones over the ship wide speakers could be hard to hear at times.

Awesome App
This was my first cruise and the app made it so easy to navigate what was happening when and where. I was able to plan my daily activities easily. Loved it. I can’t wait until my next Carnival cruise!!
